In basic terms, some tenets compared/contrasted. Understand the six points below underpin what "educated" people in the West are taught:

    1. We can't know whether or not God exists, so it's up to humans to solve our own problems.
    * Jesus Christ is source and power for problem solving

    2. Research, science, and education hold the keys to human progress.
    * Acknowledge God for giving us these tools from the human mind

    3. Humans got here through evolution and we continue to evolve.
    * Man has a propensity to behave as a degenerate, and needs, therefore, Christian regeneration

    4. Humans develop their own moral understanding of right and wrong without the need of divine assistance.
    * Babysit children and see this process at work! LOL

    5. We should not judge people who arrive at moral conclusions that differ from our own.
    * Christians should not judge people with different moral conclusions, but we can discuss and debate the issues

    6. The problems we are facing today require governments throughout the world to work together in cooperation with one another.
    * The coming one-world government, like all empires, will be at its root antithetical to God

Do "uneducated" people always make a muck of secular humanism? Or are some more talented at making a muck of it than others? What's your source for the ideology of secular humanism?

And once one recognizes Christianity (and other religions) as human fabrication, the proposition stands. LOL.

Today in the U.S.: 15,173,851 cases and 286,338 deaths. Silence is complicity.

As for evolution, it was my Catholic priest who told me to believe in science and not in the Bible, which (he said) is mythology.;)

From the title, I expected a boxing or mud wrestling match.
My money was on Secular Humanism winning in the 2nd round.

While I disagree with 5, it looks to me that Secular Humanism wins hands down.

I'd also note that Secular Humanists do debate the merits of other value systems.

So far the lesson seems to be: don't play Christian nine-ball with secular humanists.

Regarding number 4, right and wrong is a matter of opinion. The best way to come to a conclusion of right and wrong is what is beneficial to reach or intended goal and what is detrimental to reaching that goal. The only difference with Christianity is that the creator created everything with a certain goal in mind, and because he created everything for that specific goal, it is only right that his opinion matters. If we take a higher power out of it, and delegate that morality to humans, then different humans will have different goals, therefore they will develop different views of what is right and wrong and will be in conflict with others who have conflicting goals.

A good comparison is comparing the morality of the creator with the dilemma that humans will face when creating AI. If something is created for a specific goal and it fails in that function, should it be fixed or recalibrated to accomplish that goal or should it be able to go off course as much as it wants according to its own will?

By the way, what does this flippant mockery say about the understanding of right and wrong shared by non-Christian theists? Are they equal beneficiaries of divine assistance, or simply laughable?

Those are all rather dishonest, misleading, misrepresenting and just bad, but this one especially takes the cake because it's a bullhorn shouted admission you don't know what you're talking about (evolution amd morality, in this case).
Christian god: Kill those who worship other gods. Kill apostates.
    Secular law: Freedom of religion.
That alone makes it obvious which one is superior.

Only for a minority apparently, and was missing for quite some time before any appearance, so he can't claim the merit for everything.
Or just accept DNA did as much, and the thinking that resulted from what it produced.
Not all, and degenerate has to be defined first, given that many just would not accept some aspects of Christianity.
Or, believe in freedom - to determine our own future (and make our own mistakes) without such being dictated by the past.
Not a lot of difference here. :D
If a one-world government arrives - and I don't necessarily see that much wrong with such - it will come about via some common agreements, even amongst the various faiths, and better for such, rather than from some particular predicted future - and which varies of course depending upon which faith is your chosen bed-warmer or comforter.

What's being debated here? Which of these two worldviews is more accurate? Has better evidence for it? Which has prettier team colors?
