Christianity Today “ Trump should be removed from office”

You're welcome. I've seen the polling data showing Conservative Evangelists overwhelmingly doubt Trump did any wrong-doing worthy of being deposed.

Please check out this reference: 99% of white evangelical protestants oppose impeaching Trump – poll
Okay, all that shows is that either most white evangelical protestants are either not too bright or not very moral. That is not a good argument.

What is your reaction to the points brought up in the article linked by the OP?

Conservative Evangelists as well as us right-wing populist American nationalists and everybody else in their right mind know Trump did his rightful Presidential duty of getting Ukraine to help us investigate if there'd been a kickback of some U.S. foreign aid from Ukraine to the son of Joe Biden, who was paid millions of dollars by the Ukrainian company, whose boss is widely suspected of embezzling millions of dollars from the Ukrainian government; this having been funded in small part by U.S. foreign aid.

I am afraid you don't understand the problem or what actually happened.

Honestly, as long as Trump lives up to the promises we followers of him like, then we Trumpsters should pretty much be rationalizing almost anything done by the chosen one to be our leader.

He's cruel, gross and stupid.... a new all time low for America.

Imo, Trump is crazy like a fox for whom most Americans should be very grateful to have as our nation's leader; nowadays, there's nearly unprecedented economic prosperity because of the Trump-led Trumped-up economy.

America's rate of poverty nowadays is at its lowest level in nearly two decades. "The official poverty rate in 2018 was 11.8 percent, down 0.5 percentage points from 12.3 percent in 2017. This is the fourth consecutive annual decline in poverty. Since 2014, the poverty rate has fallen 3.0 percentage points, from 14.8 percent to 11.8 percent. In 2018, for the first time in 11 years, the official poverty rate was significantly lower than 2007, the year before the most recent recession. In 2018, there were 38.1 million people in poverty, approximately 1.4 million fewer people than 2017."

Please check out this reference: Income and Poverty in the United States: 2018

Real wage growth has increased since the Trump-approved Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 was enacted by Congress.

"Real average hourly earnings increased 1.1 percent, seasonally adjusted, from November 2018 to November 2019. The change in real average hourly earnings combined with no change in the average workweek resulted in a 1.1-percent increase in real average weekly earnings over this period."

Economic data indicates our Trump-led Trumped-up economy has resulted in less American poverty as well as greater American prosperity.

Have you checked out how well your IRA or 401K is doing? If such a stupid idiot can help most of us Americans accumulate such wealth, then maybe most Americans should like putting such stupid idiots in charge of our nation's economy.

The national debt has grown to nearly a trillion dollars and the corporate tax rate has gone from 35% to 11% without closing any loopholes so many corporations are paying almost NO taxes. There will come a reckoning … Trump is not smart.. He is emotional.

Obama year deficits from 2010 to 2016 on average were ca. 5.4 percent of G.D.P. compared to Trump year deficits from 2017 to 2019 being on average ca. 4 percent of G.D.P.. A fair comparison of federal deficit spending relative to Gross Domestic Product reveals Obama year deficits being higher than Trump deficits.

I used to be so jealous of Trump, because of him being so wealthy and powerful; however, I'm not jealous of him now with all the troubles that Trump-haters have put him through.

OMG.. I'm not jealous of Trump. I find him to be tragic and pathetic.

The reason many are not shocked about this is that this president has dumbed down the idea of morality in his administration.
<snip>
And while politicians are notorious for breaking campaign promises, while in office they have a fundamental obligation to uphold our trust in them and to live by the law.
Wow. That's really good writing. You should consider a career as a writer or editor.

At long last, it appears my American Evangelical brothers and sisters in Christ may be returning to the True Faith. :blueheart:

Hope springs eternal.

MARK GALLI the CT Editor who authored the piece was on CNN this morning. He stated that CT was not widely read by the Conservative Evangelicals, and the article would have no influence on them.

Nonsense.

The US Government (State Dept., Diplomatic Carps, etc) was working with the Ukraine Govt investigating corruption in Ukraine. Were you not paying attention to the testimony of Marie Yovanovitch?

Do you not understand there is a big difference between official Govt. agencies pursuing such policies and Trump sending Guiliani in to do his personal bidding? Of course, you don't, because you don't want to.

At least you openly admit to a lack of morality for Trumpsters.
