Meanwhile, back in the serious world, the Church of England has just announced it is suspending all routine church services. Churches will however remain open for individual devotion and funerals and weddings will still be held.

Cardinal Nichols is considering what to do for the English Catholic church. So far, the holy water at the church entrance has gone, mass books and hymn books have been substituted by single sheets of paper destroyed after each mass, the "sign of peace" handshake has been suspended and communion is only given in the hand and no longer on the tongue. The priest is around after mass to talk to parishioners but from a safe distance and without shaking hands.

(On one point of detail, concerning one of the linked pieces in the OP, the "Friendly [that is to say, deeply hostile] Atheist" does not know that in Catholicism nobody drinks holy water.

A JW friend has told me that Kingdom Hall meetings have been suspended for now due to the risk of infection.

It is easy to Not meet at the Kingdom Halls, because the meetings are streamed or some by phone .
Meetings will continue just Not at any present buildings.
On the JW home page a swipe on the tablet on the left side to the right does list meeting information under meetings.

Couple of things. This 'friendly atheist' is neither friendly nor atheist. as far as any atheist I've ever debated with is concerned. After all, this is clearly an anti-theist website, and I have been told that atheism is only about a lack of belief in deity, and therefore atheism cannot be anti-theist.

As well, some of those articles are clearly 'fake.' As has already been pointed out, nobody drinks holy water. I'm not a Catholic, but I put this one by a devout Catholic I know, and I was treated to the 'Good grief, that's BLASPHEMY!" look and talk. I also don't see any support for any of the other claims I personally looked up.

Skwim, did you get taken? I mean, really; I'm not going to deny that Christians and other theists have reacted oddly to COVID-19...but then, so have a bunch of non-theists. Humans have done some pretty weird things. All I have to do is see the lines of people loaded down with toilet paper in their carts to know that one.
