I have a friend who tells me about spiritual discernment.
He has it because of his belief in Christianity. It gives him
the inerrant ability to know the truth about matters spiritual
& religious. Some of the things he believes.....
- Islam is Satan's attempt to corrupt the world.
- Government men in black have been following him him ever
since the 1980s, when they discovered that his telling the truth
on talk radio was a threat.
- They Bible is the inerrant literally true word (for word) of God.
- Obama is a Muslim secret agent sent here to destroy the west.
- Trump loves Americastan, but all Democrats hate it, & work
to destroy it.
- Atheists all know & believe in God, but worship themselves instead.
- The Pope is the anti-Christ.

If you disagree with him on any of these points, then you don't
truly have spiritual discernment....because he does.

Looks to me like pretty typical propaganda. Guess what? Every Christian that did horrible things pointed to those same texts and claimed their opponents were the deceivers. Every one of them claimed to have some sort of 'spiritual discernment'. Every one of them claimed that their actions were justified by being 'attacked' by those who disagreed with them.

The point? You can manipulate the texts to justify anything you want. Which means they are absolutely useless as a moral guide. Ultimately, they are a mirror, showing the beliefs of the person interpreting them, as opposed to a passage showing the way.

"But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him, Neither can he know them, because they are Spiritually discerned" 1 Corinthians 2:14

Well there you go not understanding that Christ Jesus is spoken about throughout the bible.
As you can go from the book of Genesis to the last book of the Bible, Revelation and Christ Jesus being spoken about.

So how is it that you say that Christ Jesus as being spoken about only 15% of the bible.
When Christ Jesus is spoken about 100% of the bible, Unto which the whole bible is about Christ Jesus.

You only show how limited your understanding of the Bible really is.
