Check out this dog I saw

I saw this dog yesterday in someone's backyard, that was chained to a tree, and he was so upset about me being there, that he literally bit a metal folding chair and like threw it with his neck. Then he bit chunks out of some plywood sheets.

His jaws are so strong that his own flesh can't keep up. He was a bloody mess.

I hate seeing such a beautiful dog held in such conditions. Is there an animal welfare agency you can get a hold of?

I should... I've never seen a dog so violent... Almost like it was abused.

That chain and harness scream abuse to me. Along with the bloody mouth and it's attitude towards you.

Call the SPCA, an animal shelter or a local rescue group.

Call the Humane Society as soon as you can. In my area, they handle all the abuse and neglect cases. They're like the police and will investigate.

Report report report. This is definitely an abused animal. Police should do a welfare check on the family too,where there is animal abuse there is almost assuredly other forms of abuse.

Im not a dog expert, but isn't that a pitbull? And if so it should be put to death, its an insane dog.

I think one of the boards he was chewing was fiberglass... I think that's why he was bleeding so badly.

In that case report it. Incredibly painful and ignorance by the owner is a very poor excuse.

Excuse me? A pit bull is a type of dog. It's not a breed and it's nebulous which dogs are considered pitties. I have a female pit bull and she's the sweetest, most affectionate and playful girl. The scare-mongering about them is bull. They're the most abused and neglected dogs, which is why the shelters are full of them. Your comment is totally disgusting and unwarranted. You should be ashamed.

Sadly that is true. Every pitbull that I have seen was a very loving dog. That dog when abused can be dangerous, a vicious pitbull was almost certainly abused.

Even abused pits can be rehabbed, though. It's not totally hopeless. Not always, but dogs are resilient like humans are.

Raised and owned several pitties as a child, some of my favorite dogs. Absolute sweethearts.

Edit: If there are "insane" breeds (and I may regret asking this), but what human breeds are insane, Asian, Black, White, Hispanic?

Fair enough, again im not an expert in dogs, so might simply have listen to, to much "misinformation" about them.
