Can posts be deleted by poster?

So, this is controlled by some sort of unethical, autocratic, dictatorial, nazi-like rules and dictatorial determinations, and once a member never with the power to remove oneself from it?
Is that it?
There must be a way to have one's account deleted, though: what is it?
Other groups, FB, Tooeetur, and more have the button to end one's membership, why not here?
I heard that in such situations, the best way to be "unmembered" from groups is to offer admins and mods hardcore INSULTS and calling them the worst ones you know, LOL, is this the case here, too?

""""" however if the site owner wants to delete something from the site they may do so without asking your permission"""""
...
Well, there you are, what I call a "quasi-nazi-attitude" of admins, having the autocratic power o operate against the poster, but the poor, humble poster having no power to remove themselves from the group gtip!
It is a quasi-nazi arbitrary rule, in my humble opinion, LOL!

In other words, there should be a button to permanently DEACTIVATE one's account.
That is what they understand by a democratic right of Internet users.
If the group wants to keep PRISONERS to a once-signed situation, that group is nazi in nature, in my humble opinion, am I wrong?

At the post you want to delete select Tools then delete
Apparently, by what I hear here, it is not allowed - or post is eternally conscripted - after a short period of time, ten minutes, I heard.
Is this so?
If so, this very post I posted hours ago is there for all eternity!
This is not Internet democracy, in my humble opinion, is it?
There should be a button to DELETE full post with topic and thread, the whole sxxeitt, why not?
Why would the group have copyrights for MY words?
I proper democratic group would offer the poster the freedom to, with one soft click, vaporise one's story, end of story, nothing left behind, why not, what's the logic to keep post in a dark room forever, like an eternal limbo.
You guys must be crazy, LOL!
I said above that there must be a way to have one's posts permanently removed/deleted, but very undemocratic, uncivilised, and rude, by discharging a barrage of hard INSULTS at the group's owners or admins, to force them to get rid of one particular member, since by one's own wish being impossible.
This is what I call a quasi-nazi sort of group, sadly.

I have a related example. I could swear that it was this site, but it might have been another. At any rate the software was a bit dodgy at the time and double and even triple posts occurred at times. As a result I would regularly delete the repetitive posts.

Did the software change here so that one can no longer delete posts? I see that the delete button still exists when I create a post.
...
Yeah, but if it is only for ten minutes, then it is like a quasi-nazi-like situation.
Who wants to be part of such a party and vote for its existence?
I don't.
I want a group where I have the power and will to delete what I post, period.
As I said above, do the admins hope that all accept this autocratic imposition without reacting, or insulting them?...

The most easy way to get around this problem is to never post an OP you regreat making. Think before writing and posting it, Is this truly what i want to ask or tell the group? But yes everyone do from time to time post something we later thinking "oh i should not have posted that" But then you learn what is a good OP and what is not. Right?

I have a large collection of proper insults to admins that want to impose to me their arbitrary demands.
I've used them all along my internet experience over the last twenty years.
In general, those affected do quickly react and banned me from their groups or forums o chat boards, or prisons.
Of course I didn't know those I insulted and called quasi-nazis, but it was a reasonable reaction to their actions against my freedom of expression.
They call me stupid, and I have no right to call them something else, is that the way?

That's a strange form of nazistic, autocratic internet, am I wrong?

Maybe you should start your own forum with your own rules? then you can form it exactly as you want it.

So many things for a new member to say and spar with moderators. You can edit the post even after quite some time (even days). Do not know that exactly, never had a problem about that. Rather than delete, edit; or just write deleted in place of a message.

Almost every website has a Terms of Service that members agree to. These sorts of terms are common to many if not most of them. How is it "nazi<sic> in nature" for them to enforce the rules that you agreed to? It was even explained to you why they do not allow unlimited deletion. This site does not charge you for posting. The moderators do not get paid. The rules keep this site civil. I have been on cites where moderation was almost nonexistent and it was almost impossible to have civil discourse. There are still far too many abusive trolls on the internet.

Well, good idea, I guess...!
But I want official information.
Can any post - present or past - be totally deleted, vaporised, incinerated by the poster or not?
And my second question was: where is the button to have one's account voluntarily closed, gone, self-booted out, destroyed?
Simple questions require simple answers, according to classical philosophy.

Not.

There isn't one.

Simple enough for you?

Well, you've got a point, but it is logical to have the option to delete one's posts any time, is it not?
I do not my posts archived here or anywhere - I want the right to delete my activity log any time i want.
Is this asking too much, here?

Not at all. You can ask anything you want.

You just may not like the answer.

Why not?...

While I didn't create these standards...they were in place when I joined the staff...I find they are useful in record keeping purposes for those who might join with questionable intentions.

No, it is a public forum. Once you post you do not own those posts any longer. You agreed to this. So it is not logical.

Yes.
