Can it be?

Yes, it is very simple. It is a simply and exclusive way on how humans can possibly get to a truth of any kind. Humans failed to realize that they rely heavily on putting faith in a middle person to get to a truth. They rely on putting faith in one in direct contact of a truth to get to a truth.

Past events:
We rely on a middle person we call historians to gather facts from the supposedly eyewitnesses accounts, then to write them down for the rest to believe with faith.

Current events (vs. past events):
We rely on a middle person we call reporters/journalists to gather facts from the supposedly eyewitnesses accounts, then broadcast them through newspapers or news channels.

Science:
We rely on a middle person we call the different media and education to gather facts from our scientists as the eyewitnesses (they acquire facts using expensive equipment only scientists have the privilege to access), then let us know mostly from our media and our education system.

Future events (vs. past and current events):
We humans don't have the ability to reach a future event. We thus need to rely on a God to access this info, if such a God exists. The eyewitnesses of God (His chosen prophets) have their testimonies written down in the Bible for the rest of human kind to believe with faith, in a similar fashion as how we access histories, daily news and even scientific truths.

Another perspective is, if a God has an important message for humans, He will put effort in pushing this message to all mankind as a whole. Only Christianity has such an explicit command to preach the gospel to each and every nations. Islam is a religion remained in the middle east while Hinduism is for India only. Only Christianity is international since day one as God has a message for all mankind with this message conveyed in a mankind facing manner.
