Brahmakumaris on 7 steps to stay calm in the midst of chaos

Aupmanyav

Be your own guru
That is what I would like to ask you.
What is 'divine'?
For an atheist, there is no 'divine'.
What position have I changed?

Only way to stay calm is to align with the pure desires of brahman. I thought this was the subject of this thread.

The subject of this thread is to remain calm in the midst of chaos.

As the Bhagavad Gita says, "Equanimity of mind is yoga.'

Mental equanimity helps to make large problems small and reduces reactivity which is the usual cause for conflicts. If there is conflict, there is mental agitation which shows poor spiritual development.

Present moment awareness, mindfulness and total love comes only in the background of mental equanimity.

It is also sad to see people having poor understanding of Advaita vedanta spreading ignorance about it even though they have been subject to heavy criticism by Hindu scholars.

Prajñanam brahma - Brahman is pure consciousness (Aitareya Upanishad 3.3 of the Rig Veda)

As the Vedas and scriptures state, Brahman is pure consciousness. Contradicting this fundamental vedic teaching is itself proof of ignorance and inauspiciousness.

But this corruption is natural in the present kali yuga or present materialistic ages. The Hindu scripture of Srimad Bhagavatham itself had prophesized on the corruption of Vedic teachings in the Kali yuga .

Cities will be dominated by thieves, the Vedas will be contaminated by speculative interpretations of atheists, political leaders will virtually consume the citizens, and the so-called priests and intellectuals will be devotees of their bellies and genitals.~ ŚB 12.3.32

Brahman wants equanimity, or progress?
