I found this list of words and I forget what I was looking at but I didn't expect a list of alternatives to "boring" words ...

and then you can start combining them...for example, the merely 'pretty good' can become 'exquisitely stupendous,' for no more investment than using bigger words that don't actually mean the same thing...
