There is today increasing commentary around the world about the inhuman commerce begun and run today by the party-state in Beijing. One was a 7-page cover story recently in Salud, a medical magazine read in Spain and other Spanish-speaking nations,” saidformer Canadian lawmaker David Kilgour at Canada’s parliament earlier this month after the screening of the award-winning documentary Human Harvest: China’s Illegal Organ Trade.

“Prisoners of conscience often convicted of nothing are the primary source of pillaged organs. They include Uyghurs, Tibetans, and Christians, but are overwhelmingly Falun Gong practitioners-long dehumanized in party-state media throughout China,” Kilgour said.

Nobel Peace prize nominee Kilgour was one of three researchers who released another report in 2016 that estimated that there are 60,000 to 100,000 organ transplants performed annually in China. Among the evidence used to calculate these figures was data from hospital revenue, transplantation volumes, bed utilization rates, surgical personnel, training programs, and state funding.
The world was shocked when thousands of democracy activists, mostly students protesting in Beijing’s Tiananmen Square, were massacred by soldiers of the Peoples Liberation Army on June 4, 1989.

But it is not widely known that the killings and suppression was not limited to the nation’s capital. There were bloody crackdowns against supporters of the democracy movement in 20 Chinese cities, reported Time.

Due to state censorship and suppression, not many Mainland Chinese today know much about the crackdown on the democracy movement, which had widespread support among the population at the time.

During the Cultural Revolution the radicals also targeted the “Four Olds” — that being old habits, manners, customs, and culture. As part of this, churches, temples, and monastery were shut down and vandalized.

Tibet and Tibetan culture also suffered greatly during the politically wrought chaos.

During the Cultural Revolution, there were even cases of politically motivated cannibalism. One article by AFP detailed one case that occurred in a town in the southern region of Guangxi. “The hearts, livers, and genitals of victims were cut out and fed to revelers,” said a Chinese official who asked not to be named for fear of repercussions. “All the cannibalism was due to class struggle being whipped up, and was used to express a kind of hatred,” he said. “The murder was ghastly, worse than beasts.”

Copies of official documents smuggled out of China stated that acts of cannibalism where organized by local Communist Party officials, reported The New York Times in 1993. Those who participated in acts of cannibalism did so to prove their revolutionary spirit, said the documents.

An estimated 2 to 3 million people died in the chaos.
Worst Atrocities Committed by the Communist Party of China - Vision Times

Mao Zedong, founder of the People's Republic of China, qualifies as the greatest mass murderer in world history, an expert who had unprecedented access to official Communist Party archives said yesterday.

At least 45 million people were worked, starved or beaten to death in China over these four years

Mao's Great Leap Forward 'killed 45 million in four years'

Mao was the greatest mass murderer in history, but I've never heard one negative thing about him in history class. What the Japanese did to the Chinese was terrible, but I can't help but think that what happened to China after World War II was even worse. It makes me wonder if China would have been any worse off had the Japanese won.

The Chinese government has intimidated, terrorized, starved, Worked to death, tortured, and used their prisoners as guinea pigs for medical experiments and organ harvesting, but you never hear about it in history class or on the news how evil this government is.

Censorship laws prevent the Chinese people from learning about it. May the innocent blood shed cry to heaven for vengeance. May freedom, justice, wisdom, and charity prevail in China.

I love you Mao and hope your better now. I just hate your methods and policies.

I don't get why a figure like Mao is still hailed like a messiah hero in China and his face is on their money. A country that would Hail little Hitler as such a hero, would be no less despicable

It seems most of the newstrendy Dr Evil style atrocities always seem to be informed by people who never want to go on the record.
It doesn't make for trustable news in a climate which is so anti-red.
Actually the Reds did more atrocities than Hitler and they really got a slap on the wrist for it.

In history class I always heard about how terrible Hitler was. But China hails a mass murderer responsible for the deaths of far more people as a hero, and there was no mention of it in History Class how evil and barbaric his regime was.

This country (USA) is not anti red. Look at how many people protested the Vietnam War and waved the Communist flag.

There's something about socialism/communism which always requires mass die-offs of people for the
greater good. An uncle-in-law from China told us horror stories about them starving people to death.

To be fair, most who wave communist flags at demonstrations and wear Che Guevara shirts are usually rebellious teen types whose own interests and lifestyles would actually be suppressed under communist rule. Their favorite forms of entertainment, hobbies, etc. would be considered "subversive."

Not to mention this.

Lol.

A healthy dose of skepticism towards anti-communist sources are not just warranted but required for legitimate analysis due to the long history of exaggeration and lying about the reds.

You yourself believe the American view that America was right to be involved in the Vietnamese and Korean wars, that is in and of itself an anti-communist view, no? The people who objected the Vietnam War were generally speaking anti-red but more just viewed military intervention to be incorrect.

To make the argument that America is not anti-red is a very odd claim to me.

You have actively defended America's anticommunism, how can you deny it exists?
I don't deny it exists but most Americans it seems know nothing about communism, therefore they can't really be anticommunist or even care.

To label America anti red , is like saying anticommunist views are the norm, which isn't my experience,...but perhaps it exists more than I am aware...if so, I repent of misspeaking based on personal experience. In history class, communism was not demonized but people sympathize with them. I have seen the media behave the same way.

I said America never should have been in Vietnam. I condemned communist aggression at the same time.

All this love from an atheist regime. Who would have guessed! :D

Is...is that supposed to be Stalin?

*Rival cries*
He's dead, Rival, and his fame is a sham. He wasted his life trying to be important and made himself a nuisance instead. Don't waste jealousy on such people.

The amount of Americans I meet who say anything negative about communism is less than 1%... I speak about these things with people and ask questions. Americans usually talk about sports or the weather or celebs, certainly not history... us anti-reds are a tiny minority...waaa! :(

Jesus was seen with Moses and Elijah. Lazarus was taken to Abraham's bosom. The dead really aren't dead, they just leave Their body behind. Saul spoke with the ghost of Samuel.

Maybe the spirit of Stalin is tugging on the heart of Rival...but I must say, she needs different friends :D

American communists were persecuted in America under McCarthyism...

McCarthyism - Wikipedia

The american capitalists probably thought that the good old money making days and luxury were over if communism continued in America, and directed the american government to take care of the potential party poopers, and forget all that stuff about freedom of speech and thought for the time being.

Agreed.

On the contrary, I'd say most anti-communists don't know much about Communism.
I've studied communism. It could work in theory if the Government knew what was best for the people and acted accordingly.

However, communist regimes have oppressed and slaughtered more innocent people than fascists or any other regimes.

What I see is that most Americans don't know and could care less.

I agree that we should not have been in Vietnam, but the north kept crossing the DMZ to attack the South and force their way of life on a people that largely didn't want to live like that.

That is the only point I was making. The commies weren't the victims so many portray them as.

Are you in favor of how the Chinese Government slaughtered, imprisoned, starved, and tortured their own people? Are you in denial that it happened?

Most people, especially the Chinese, don't even know about it. It is responsible for the greatest mass murders in history and they didn't get a slap on the wrist and no one spoke about it in our history classes.

Do you think Mao was any more noble than Hitler?

In modern times, people can walk around with Stalin or Mao merchandise and most people wouldn't think twice about it. But if someone were to wear Hitler merchandise, he would get the crap kicked out of him lickity split (and rightfully so). A large part of that has to do with ignorance about the atrocities of the communists
