Yes! There's a difference between dressing as an Native American that stereotypes or uses traditional sacred garb in order to get laughs and respectfully recreating traditional everyday wear because it speaks to you.

    Nope. The context is different.

    It is a cartoon...

Kidnapping and forced marriage is a positive light? You are babbling or merely copying someone else's babble. Again it was a cartoon. You have unrealistic expectation for cartoons for children.

If you want to learn about the Disney movie specifically:

    Again it was a cartoon.

More babble from emotional wrecks that do not know what a cartoon is and have unrealistic expectations.

Let's look at how it was received by young girls (the target audience):

Useless study as again..... it is a cartoon for children.
    ...
Participants, ages 9 to 13, were middle-class Euro-American girls from a midwestern university town, urban working-class Native American girls from a large midwestern city, and girls of working-class families from a rural reservation in the southwest with one Native American parent and one Euro-American parent.
    ...
Results from the focus groups with participants indicated that although there were points of agreement, in general, the girls' responses and attitudes toward the movie varied widely both between the groups and with respect to the researcher's conclusions about the movie. While the Euro-American girls produced a reading that could be labeled as "negotiated" in some respects, they appeared to accept the colonialist lessons learned about U.S. history and to view the movie as somewhat comical. [/quote]

    Appeared? Garbage study.
    ..."

    Again it is a cartoon.

A yes, cartoons are incapable of negatively influencing people and cannot contain racist elements.
