Yes, that's fair comment. KSA and Iran are destined to be the two that fight it out for supremacy in the region. Neither is a beacon of enlightenment just now.

Historically, Iran has by far the greater claim. Look at the glories of the various Persian empires down the ages. And today it is a serious industrial country, with a large educated middle class. KSA, by contrast, is just a bunch of Bedouin who've suddenly got rich because of oil but are still at heart medieval tribesmen.

Iran could and should, one day, be brought in from the cold. The Serious Beards will not be able to keep the educated young down for ever. The issue is how best to bring about a rapprochement that weakens the grip of the Serious Beards and encourages reformers.

That's because it's kinda weird to criticize Biden for holding the KSA responsible.
It's almost like the far-right is angry Biden did something.
Conservatives would prefer the Trumper approach, deny KSA involvement, do not hold anyone accountable. No responsibility.

The right is always whining and crying over something.

Just pointing out the hypocrisy. You voted for Trump, it sounds like you're angry Biden is holding the KSA responsible and acknowledging the involvement.
It seems Republicans want the KSA free of accountability. As witnessed from the orange messiah.

Waaah, Biden is holding the KSA responsible for something Trump ignored. Waahh!

In order to distract from Biden.
It's OK to love him & hate Trump.
    I've no objection.
But it should be OK to criticize Biden.

There's a lot of blatant hypocracy on the right, If Trump does something bad they defend it, if Biden does the same thing they attack it full bore, it not a form of intellectual honesty.

    I'll play your game.
It seems you're criticizing Biden for doing something.
Would you prefer Biden do nothing? ala Trump?

    Which is it?

    I don't think you will.
Let people criticize Biden without derailing it into always
being about Trump. Do you know he's no longer Prez?

Not for cutting off one billion in arms sales to Saudi Arabia, putting sanctions on top government officials, and accusing the crown prince of complicity in Kashoggi's murder, no he shouldn't be criticized for that, and yes, Trump should be criticized for doing the exact opposite.

    You keep avoiding the question.
Would you prefer Biden to do nothing? Are you angry he's holding the KSA responsible?

To me, I hear rightwingers criticizing Biden for doing more than Trump did. Logic tells me that they must be angry at Biden's decision and would prefer taking the Trump approach of no accountability.

There is no other way around it.

How about that....a politician who may
do as he pleases without criticism.
    Why? Trump!

That's because you have no real reason to criticize Biden. Carry on.
You'd have a point if there wasn't a precedent already set by Trump.

    Confused?
    I didn't criticize him.
Just addressing how Biden's faithful apologists
quickly flock to derail any thread criticizing him.
