Bible shows Scripture is NOT the authority!

I would suggest that they are probably inseparable.
I know I shouldn't be pointing out the Scripture verses that make God look bad, but I feel sorry for the innocent people, sometimes children, women, and babies victimized in the verses .

I point out those verses to demonstrate that the Bible is perfectly capable of leading people into some very inhospitable, inhumane treatment of others, and other bad behaviors or beliefs, if the Bible is interpreted by everyone individual, without a Church to settle disputes about Biblical interpretation.

I knew of a guy in a psychiatric ward whose mother died, and he wanted to go to heaven so bad , he plucked out his eyes to save him from his sinful pornography addiction, because Jesus told him to, in Scripture, that "if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out, better to enter heaven missing an eye, than have both eyes and be tossed into hell".

Jesus established a Church to settle disputes about how to interpret Scripture, the Holy Spirit guides Church councils, inspires the Catechism, and Church Magisterium!

Also, every word God speaks, is the "word of God". The vast majority of God's words are not in Scripture or even written down.

Most of what Jesus said and did, Scripture says, was never written down, or a library could not contain it!

Every word God speaks through Prophets is "the word of God". Jesus was "the word of God, the word made flesh".

The word of God has also come to us through the amazing Saints, miracle workers, some of them like Padre Pio, the stigmatic who could read hearts in the confession booth, and tell people their sins, before they even confessed them.

Saint Faustina interacted with visions of Jesus Christ, on a common basis. If those visions were authentic, the words of Jesus to her, were the word of God, and she records them in her diary.

The children of Fatima had words from the Virgin Mary of how we could have prevented World war 2, and stopped Communism , and brought much grace to the earth.

Many prophecies inspired by God directly through him, or visits from Mary, or Saints in Heaven , come to us through the holy spirit, and can be just as important, or more important for our current age than even the Bible!

So who can be trusted for a correction interpretation of scripture?
The Holy Spirit.
“Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭16:7-15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

A person has to be born again of the Spirit or they will not be able to understand the meaning of God’s Word.

“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭2:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

He later commanded the making of graven images, saved lives and healed with a brazen serpent, and ordered Israelites to murder babies, children, and pregnant women, and permitted taking traumatized virgins as sex slaves!...

Why do you think the brazen serpent was an graven image? I don’t think it was.

I don’t think God ordered murder, which means unlawful killing. I think, if God ordered someone to be killed, it is death penalty, which is not unlawful in the Bible.

Bible doesn’t even have the word sex slave, that comes purely from readers own mind.

Yes, and I believe that there's much of a reflection of secular culture within the scriptures, thus I do not believe in biblical inerrancy.

The Bible permits killing everyone in the city, but taking Virgin girls as slaves. It is obviously implying to use them sexually, or their virginity wouldn't matter.

It would be better to just kill them at that point. Keeping someone as a slave that you act out sexually with, is worse than death for the traumatized virgins, who just saw their families and friends murdered, to be abused on top of it .

It was a terrible thing what God sometimes said to do in his word, in some places! :(
