The Others with Nicole Kidman is awesome. Dracula with Gary Oldman as well. Harry Potter and the Chamber of secrets counts imo as well, especially when I was young.

I love horror movies. Allow me to share a small list of my favorites:

A Nightmare on Elm Street (original - none of the sequels.)
Dawn of the Dead (both of them)
Shaun of the Dead
House of Wax
The Hills Have Eyes (the newer one, actually. The old one is harder for me to take seriously.)
Scream
Scream 2
Saw (the whole series, actually. I love Jigsaw and Amanda Young.)
Silence of the Lambs
28 Days Later
28 Weeks Later
Halloween (original - and some of the sequels. I think Halloween 4 was the other one I liked.)
Zombieland
Sleepy Hollow

The Others was scary.

I also don't like movies where people are climbing walls...like on all fours...I can't think of the movie now, but that was very creepy. Kids that are being depicted as demonic ...also quite creepy and scary.

Oh! The Orphanage as well, a Del Toro Spanish speaking film. Only saw it once but I always mean to see it again.

My best horror movie of all time is the Italian Demons 2 (Dèmoni 2). A true horror movie not just some suspense/thriller, which seems to be things people confuse for horror these days.

How come nobody has mentioned:

(It fits with RF theme too)

Other ones no one has mentioned The Exorcist, Evil Dead, Carrie,

More recent ones the house of the devil, it follows, Rec 1+ 2 were pretty good.
