Thats if the GOP survives after Trump. Change isn't a huge priority when the GOP holds one and 1/2 branches of government. Dems were force to change as their strongest establishment candidate lost.

Isn't it truly WONDERFUL how members of the Trump party and his minions all spontaneously and with no central source start writing about how terrible Bernie Sanders is being treated.
I applaud the right's dedication to socialism; it's truly inspiring that we're all coming together under the banner.
So welcome, brothers and sisters, to the one true party that is lighting the way to the future where all people will be treated equally by the government as the Founders espoused in the Declaration of Independence.
Never said I agreed with all of Bernies ideas, I just don't like seeing bullies and psychopaths pile on anyone and if I could fo anything to stop it I would. A person can respect someone without agreeing with them on everything and give them a thumbs up for what you see as courage.
Consider this though, Bernie was screwed over by Hillary in 2016 and just a few weeks ago she claimed that Russia had a clear choice of who they want to see face Trump in 2020 clearly meaning Bernie. This was shortly after some democrats took the ball and ran with a story after a briefing that Russia was aiding the Bernie Sanders campaign. This briefing was described by another member of the intelligence community as overstated and misleading and Hillary presumably would have known that at the time which means this was just another lie and misrepresentation from her to attempt to affect the 2020 election.
Do you find it interesting that anyone the establishment democrats don't like end up being branded or characterized as being helped by the Russians or intimated in the media that they are Nazis or both? In Sanders and Trumps case it is both.

- When I see a thread titled "Bernie Sanders is Getting a Raw Deal by Some Democrats" posted in RF by an unabashed Trumpeteer, I think to myself: "Self, that there is the handiwork of a Kremlin Media stooge."
I suspect a lot of folks voted for Trump because they were fed up with establishment republicans. Perhaps they will vote for Sanders because they fed up with establishment democrats.
I don't mind Trump because of the chaos he brings. I don't think I'll mind Sanders either because of the chaos he'll bring.

I don't think it's as bad as you say. It's just that Trump and his American style fascism are so dangerous people do not want to repeat the Hillary effort. Sanders political positions may be farther to the left than people are willing to go right now. In order to win the Electorial College we may need someone like Biden. Biden seem to be the best at getting red state swing voters to vote for him.
Democrats are a political party. This effort should be about winning and not fantasy.

Laissez faire capitalism never works. It always results in economic collapse. Marx always said laissez faire capitalism is always followed by communism. This is because unfettered greed always results in the government's currency collapsing to nothing in value as its concentrated into fewer and fewer hands. Once the government's currency collapses to nothing in value the people in the breadlines will demand MORE government not less. See you in the breadlines comrades!
Sounds like a typical case of white privilege bias. After all, why worry about the Kurds facing ethnic cleansing, the kids torn from their parents and languishing in border camps, the DACA families living in fear, or any number of comparable assaults on human dignity. It's all just a little bit of chaos that doesn't really effect you. Why should you mind, right?

Oh, it's not that. For one thing, 'third world country' is an incredible exaggeration. We aren't anywhere near that. "The poor,' (those who live below the poverty line) would be considered pretty darned well off by people who truly DO live in third world nations. You know that as well as I do. Even our homeless have better tents than the 'middle class' (sorta) of the truly desperate of third world nations. I know that. I've seen 'em. I see where they live and how they live, and know, very personally, what the homeless will and will not do in order to get services here.
I 'like' that because I've seen the left wing...the very left (not the moderates, but the ones who are running the party at the moment) do things that would make any moral person cringe...even as they shout and scream because the right may be presented as doing far lesser things....but oh, they say...it's OK for Hillary to blatantly destroy e-mails and purchase fake stuff from Russian agents in order to 'get' their opposition. She's doing it for a good cause, and we MEAN well, so we are above any law we cast.
So now they are reaping what they sow....and they don't like it, and so are using methods upon each other that they have been using...and excusing...against their political opponents.
So....
Karma is beautiful.
It certainly keeps it from getting any worse.
Politicians are simply not the people to look to to solve problems.
"If only we could get the right politicians in office, it would solve so many problems." Seems a bit naive.
Still folks want to keep betting on the politicians.

Where have you been? We are just one arrest away of Nancy Pelosi on fake charges to becoming a true banana republic. The Trump presidency has been a crime wave. And now political lackeys control the DOJ. Honestly, this country may have never been so close to losing the Constitution as we are now.
