beginning and end

“The ibtidaa (beginning) of Tasawwuf is:
Innamal a’amaalu binniyyaat
(verily actions are judged by the intentions).

The intihaa (ending) is:
An ta’budullaaha ka-annaka taraahu
(Worship Allah as though you see him)”

~Shaykh Muhammad Zakariyya Khandalwi (ra)

What do you think it means?

To me, it firmly grounds tasawwuf in the traditions of islam. If we are to embark upon a path of purification of the self, we must first know that everything we do is for Allah (swt). And we should also know the goal of the self purification is ihsan, as defined by the Prophet Muhammad (saws) to the angel Jibreel.

If I knew what it does mean, I wouldn't ask you. Would I ??!!!!!!

No argument, but up till now I don't get the aim of this thread.
