I was raised almost exactly 100 miles west of El Dorado Ranch Park where a "gender reveal party" sparked a fire with disastrous results. The unintended consequences are hard to fathom.

For some reason I find myself wondering about and concerned for the child. What a sad legacy.

I had to look that one up because my first thought was that it's a party to celebrate a LGBTQ person coming out. That shows my age. I now know it's a party to reveal the sex of a baby before birth.
