im a bit obsessed with North Korea, and occasionally i look up docs, articles, & pics. and i found this collection of photos taken in North Korea that are really good. thought id share.

About the picture? or North Korea?

I see incredible warmth in the picture. That's what the contrast is for.
While some pictures may have more "warmth" than others, the overall impression is not warm. I think the austerity and regimentation that lurks behind many of the images carries over into the others, but perhaps that's just me.

you also have to keep in mind that all the nice pics this guy got were of people from Pyongyang, people who are relatively better off than their rural counterparts.

*edit* well, mostly Pyongyang, not all the pics were taken there
