Kind of by default, yes.Just curious to how many atheists here also consider themselves humanists?
I don't really call myself a humanist but I do agree with a lot of what humanists stand for. I would not be offended by being labeled a humanist.Just curious to how many atheists here also consider themselves humanists?
If you don't have gods what else is there?Just curious to how many atheists here also consider themselves humanists?

Humanism becomes a natural fit.
Weirdly, this somewhat aligns me with @Revoltingest at a macro level.
??? I'm confused lolI don't call myself humanist, itts just taken for granted

I know. Now I've seen a tractor I like I'm getting panic attacks and clammy hands.
Likewise. From Wiki: "human beings, whom it considers the starting point for serious moral and philosophical inquiry" is to my mind an example of speciesism which I entirely reject.No.
I don't think humans are particularly rational, so tend to find philosophies that presuppose human rationality to be a bit ludicrous.
Any attempt to define (Secular) Humanism tends to just be a collection of pretty nondescript platitudes anyway.
Gotcha. I get it now.Don't be. I'm atheist, I don't think of myself as humanist, but i do hold with humanistic ideas. I just don't need another label
