For fiction, that would be Umberto Eco's "Foucault's Pendulum" because I'm a semiotics nut and I love mysteries.

For nonfiction, there are just too many contenders; I can't decide.

Well, in my wild youth I was a rock musician, so rock, punk rock, new wave, drone rock, space rock. I also like India's traditional music. Some classic blues, jazz, and classical, especially Shostakovich. Some classic country gospel. And Nina Simone. Love me some Nina Simone.
