Are there any good predictions of the fall of powerful empires that happened in other religions

Like the fall of Nineveh... a flood and fire with falling walls while the King partied drunk and his mighty fighting guys fled for fear

Looks like Nahum got it 'spot on'

Book of Nahum: Comfort and RefugeView attachment 19935

You might really like the book by near death experiencer, and former Catholic... who during her NDE was told that she was Jewish...... so she got her Israeli citizenship and moved to Israel.

In her book she predicts the fall of a modern Babylon..........
America..... but I think she does a good job of explaining how if we will
break out of our tendency to undervalue and abort our kids.... that fall of a modern Babylon..../ America... can be delayed and delayed and delayed..........

I read her book last summer and I highly, highly recommend it......

Empires always fall. Sometimes to foreign invasion or exploitation, sometimes to internal problems, sometimes to environmental problems.

Provide evidence that it was written before the fact.

A well carbon dated manuscript before the fall of Assyria would be sufficient. You have one, surely?

There is internal evidence in the book. Nahum told the Nineties to not be so overly secure, after all the city of Thebes feels safe surrounded by rivers and he will destroy it... so he spoke before the fall of Thebes.

Actually he spoke after the fall of Thebes. Please read your Bible,

Are you better than Thebes
that sat by the Nile,
with water around her,
her rampart a sea,
water her wall?
9 Ethiopia was her strength,
Egypt too, and that without limit;
Put and the Libyans were her helpers.

10 Yet she became an exile,
she went into captivity;
even her infants were dashed in pieces
at the head of every street;
lots were cast for her nobles,
all her dignitaries were bound in fetters.

Clearly the author is writing after Thebes has fallen. That does not help much, does it?

Thebes fell in 363BC centuries after Nahum who wrote in 40 or 50 years around 615BC
sometimes prophesy is in past tense emphasizing its a done deal
