Hmm. Not here, but yes in some places. It used to be like that here but no longer. The system here would no longer easily allow an all male jury if in such a case. Its because we had a lot of problems with racial injustice, and juries packed with white people were convicting black people. Eventually the higher courts put a spotlight on that, and since that time jury selection here has to at least statistically appear to be random or the defense has a complaint. You might have a court of half men or 8 to 2 or something like that but all men, no.
My thinking is that as a society we are still behaving like Wile E Coyote about this topic. Its the Road Runner, and we keep making bad decisions in an attempt to catch it, and we have all these ACME contraptions we're trying in all the wrong ways. Some of them are good ideas, too.
