Are Ameristan & Israel Determined To Ignite War With Iran?

Everyone knows that the west has long been waging covert, economic,
& proxy war against Iran. The latest assassination has resulted in this
news....
Iran's supreme leader vows revenge over slain scientist
Was scientist’s killing the opening shot of a Trump-led war on Iran?

This appears to be more than just containing Iran, & or preventing nuclear
capability. Remember, Trump recently launched into a military attack on
Iran, but stopped it before actual damage was done.
This is either really stupid strategic thinking, or an actual desire to conquer
or simply lay waste Iran. Just waiting for an opportune pretext?

A possible Trump strategy could have been & still be to nip at Iran's heels,
with each possible retaliation providing justification for our retaliating on a
larger scale. A feedback loop leading to bi-partisan justification for all out
war is imaginable.
Thoughts?

With allies like Israel, who needs enemies, eh.

Well back in the 50s when we helped the Brits overthrow the democratically elected leader of Iran it was all about the oil (how dare they nationalize it!).

But today? I fear it has more to do with the Evangelicals whispering sweet nothings into Trump's ear.

What about Israel's continual urging to attack Iran?
We cannot blame only Christians in this.
But non-evangelical Christians have also beat the
war drums, eg, Hillary.
We have no singular boogeyman, given the bi-partisan
history of anti-Iran activities by our government.

The Israelis clearly see the very existence of Iran as a threat, and would be happy to see them bombed into oblivion before they gain the capability to retaliate in kind. Here in the U.S., our wealthy overlords like seeing the U.S. engaged in warfare because there's big profit in it, for them, and no one they know is going to fight or die in it. So between the Israelis and the oligarch's both throwing lots of bribe money at our whoring politicians, and the news media's endless hunger for the next 'big exciting story' to keep everyone watching their advertisements, the pressure is on for another "terrorist enemy" to attack and invade, and occupy, militarily, for decades. Money, money, money! They're all smelling that money.

Many evangelicals really only support Israel because of the eschatology (of the former). As to Clinton, who knows :)

Some evidence for those claims would be nice.

Do you understand that wars in the Middle East mean these guys will be so exacerbated that they will retaliate onto the America's allies (that is...us Europeans).

I do see potential for the conflagration becoming wider than just Iran & environs.
There's great opportunity for Russia & China to profit by siding with Iran.

We'd be throwing America away if we started obliterating countries in addition to Iraq and Libya. The thing is, we don't conquer countries. We have a war, then leave. That's not historically wise. It was different when there was a world war, and the conditions were such that we were able to believe it was a defensive war. With these smaller countries its not so plain, and the only wise thing is to ignore them or conquer them and add states.

All you gotta do is look. It's not hard to find.
We each see different things thru a different lens.
Believe it or not, I already "look.....perhaps more than you do.
So it's not productive to tell me how it is, while providing no evidenced cogent argument.

I think there's a better approach between those extremes.

IMO, Netanyahu likely would have the U.S. involved in attacking Iran, which is one reason why he cozied up to Trump. And the latter was going to do just that but apparently got talked out of it.

If I understand your logic, the U.S. is to blame for Israel assassinating an Iranian scientist, because the U.S. has been an unfailing ally to Israel under the Trump administration.
But Iran has targeted Americans, while Israel has not targeted Americans in the many years of the ongoing conflict between them.

What do you think is the appropriate course of action for the U.S.?

See, the thing is, when you (or anyone) asks me for "the evidence", I already know there will never be enough of it to convince you, no matter how much of it I present. And all I'd really be doing is wasting my own time bothering to look it up. Because you've already determined that you're not going to be convinced, or you wouldn't be insisting that I do so.

If you are not yet aware of the degree to which the Israeli government bribes and controls the U.S. legislature, then no amount of "evidence" is ever going to convince you. And if you are not already aware of how the wealthy elites in this country gain enormously, financially, from every military engagement we manage to get ourselves caught up in, then no amount of evidence anyone can ever present to you will open those eyes.

So the asking is just a ruse. A way of creating an endless distraction, while throwing shade and doubt on my accusations, based on nothing. It's a common tactic I see here, and elsewhere, that I won't let myself get sucked into.

I'm saying it's a likely explanation....not claiming certainty.

Iran has been far far more the victim of
our many attacks than US or Israel have.

Seeking peace with Iran.
First....apologize for some heinous things we did.
- The 1953 coup.
- The proxy attack by Iraq, which killed in the neighborhood of 1 million Iranians.
Second....behave in a manner that shows we are not a continuing existential threat to Iran.
