They have equal inherent worth so you can't call some superior and others inferior even if some are more able than others

Nothing is equal, except to itself.

Equality is an idea that we use as a relative value assessment. It only exists to the degree that we ignore it's impossibility.

Horse #1 and horse #2 are equal only to the degree that we ignore how unequal they are.

It's a subjective and relative concept, based on the context.

Agree. Although I do see as humans being treated equal as fellow human beings accordingly.

When you say equal, what do you mean?

Certainly humans are not equal in terms of gifts and talents. Some are beautiful and some are ugly. Some are smart and some are ... challenged LOL. Some have many talents, and some seem to have no talent at all. Some are born into wealth, and some are born into abject poverty. Some are born into nations that are freed, and some are born into tyrannies. Life is not fair--some people just have advantages that others do not have.

But equal in worth? Human life is intrinsically worthwhile, regardless of a person's advantages. In a religious sense, I would say that we stand equal before God when we are judged -- no one gets a break because they were pretty or smart or whatever.

In the same sense, the ideal is that we are equal under the law, that rich people for example are not supposed to have a different set of laws.

When asking these questions, one should be more specific about what one is speaking exactly.

Lionel Messi is "superior" to most people when it comes to playing soccer.
He's likely inferior to me when it comes to playing drums.

As conceptual human beings, in terms of human rights and all that, as human entities, we are equals and to be treated as such.

Beyond a certain level of respect at least.

A new human I meet, gets my "standard package" of "initial respect", if you like.
It's quite neutral and it includes being treated properly, fairly and with the realization you are speaking with another human being who has feelings and needs - most of which you'll have as well.

Then upon interacting, that person will carry him/herself a certain way, address you in a certain way, say certain things, do certain things, etc. This will inevitably lead to you painting a mental picture concerning with type of human you are interacting with.

That picture will then affect your respect level.
It might increase, it might decrease or it might stay the same.

If the person is impolite, caught lying, exhibit lazyness or greed or alike,... your respect level is not going to go increase. Au contraire. Showing bad character will do that that.
Showing good character will do the opposite.

    No. Look above.

Isn't that pretty much how we all meet new people and then form ideas about them? And will that then not further indicate how we will treat them in the future?

I'ld say that a person's picture and attitude towards another will develop with almost every new interaction with said person, at least potentially.

Humans are widely unequal in worth.
Dealing with that is what politics is all about.

    Some people deserve to...
    - Be imprisoned.
    - Be given money.
    - Have money taken.
    - To die for their country.
    - To be exempt from dying for their country.
    - To be above the law.
    The list goes on.

So, politics is all about making sure that each person gets what they deserve?

    That's the gist of it.
    Of course, there's wide disagreement
    about who deserves what.

    Interesting

But who gets to decide who deserves what?
