That's because this "armed resistance" is usually led by actual terrorist organizations. And when it's not, it is more often than not directed at civilian rather than soldiers. That's called terror.

So economic boycotts and other forms of protest or resistance should be even more favored, shouldn't they? How should Palestinians express resistance or protest when boycotts are "hateful bigotry" and armed resistance is "terror"? Should they just stay silent?

The right to self-determination isn't what's in question here; it's Israel's increasing establishment of illegal settlements and implementation of policies that make life increasingly difficult for Palestinians.

There's a vast spectrum of potential solutions between the extremes of "all of Israel is a Jewish state" and "every single Jew must be kicked out of Israel."
The difficulty is that we tried to freeze the boundaries and it didn't work. One side of a conflict cannot be frozen while the other side is on the offensive. During the 1970's the Arab side maintained a "war of attrition" and then "guerilla warfare." Israel could not be confined to taking action against these various pot-shots. Labor PM's Levi Eshkol and then Golda Meir started the settlement process; creating "facts" on the ground so they would have something acceptable to give up in negotiations. When those negotiations did not materialize, see the Khartoum Convention's "three No's" the settlements gradually became permanent.

Most Arab governments now recognize Israel as permanent, and they are not stopping negotiations such as the Abraham Accords. They are not giving the most intransigent people a veto. Eventually the "Palestinians" will have to either recognize they have lost all the wars or face the consequences. It is too bad they believed the false promise of Khartoum.

Oh, there are a number of ways. First, war. That means laying off of the civilians. If this is war, then act as in war. Not that I'm convinced that they actually have any proper wartime code. But if it's war, then they should assemble their forces and fight the IDF. Meanwhile, Israel will close its borders completely and will not let those that have work permits come in for work. Israel will stop providing economic and medical aid. The Arabs will be free to protest in whatever way they can. I strongly suspect Hamas and the PA won't provide internet support for these people. But they could boycott us all they want, without being hypocritical about it.

Most boycotts nowadays don't come from them. They come from Europe and other Western countries. These are criticized for focusing their efforts almost solely on Israel and not other countries with far worse acts under their belts. Not that I am necessarily decrying Israel's actions over the years. The problem here is blatant hypocrisy.
