After getting dressed, I come down the stairs and hear:

"That's a nice outfit."

Was it my husband? Nope. Glued to his phone. It was none other than my 15 year old son.

I have had my clothing approved by a 15 year old. And its genuine; he isn't the type to butter a person up(he's inherited that from me). Its been a long time since I've gotten a compliment out of him. This is something worth celebrating.

"Be strong", I whispered to my coffee.

That doesn't happen often. I hear mine plotting and practicing before i go to the hairdresser. The repeated "your hair looks nice" can be heard, followed by "does that sound ok?"

My son is always ready and willing to tell me when I look like a train wreck, so this was a surprising experience.
