To look solely at pre & post Russia avoids the larger
issue of what economic & governmental systems work
best together. If a Czarist government & capitalist
economy aren't as good as a Stalinist government
& a socialist economy, this isn't a meaningful criticism
of capitalism because it doesn't compare either
to better alternatives.

It's a false comparison. That's what I try to explain to you in these long posts you handwave away, but again, it's cool.

See post #116.

Already answered. History is much more complicated than you're making it to be. It can be rather lengthy and complex, but you seem to eschew any arguments that have any real complexity.

BTW, posts can be more powerful
when focused & succinct.

Yeah, I know. I should think in terms of witty slogans and soundbites, rather than actually explaining myself and my position, in the event that anyone might be interested. It's a message board, what do you expect?

There are some situations where I'd probably agree with you over Revoltingest on things. But I'm afraid that having a really really really long discussion in Games, and not the political debates forum where people are aware as to the conversation and things can be fact-checked and discussed, isn't one of them. It kind of seems like an unfair debate tactic to me, unless both sides have perfectly agreed to this two-way and the rules to it.

So I have to say..... Marshmallows.

Oh yeah, I forgot it was in the Games section. Well, it's really the same argument we've been having for years. We usually agree to disagree, then post some GIFs of bears acting mischievously or funny forklift disasters, until the subject comes up again.

At least it doesn't get like this:
