Your mistake is thinking a linear relationship between
quantity of guns & danger. This is wrong. Some people
own many guns, but they don't use them simultaneously.
So it's worth more to know more about the number of
gun owners.

More bad faith politics. Republicans are already working to lose more elections in 2024. Democrats just need to let republicans destroy their party, and voters will see these people are not electable. Oddly even the conservative base wants more MAGA chaos and bad faith politics, because they learned nothing a few weeks ago.

He did say that this is what he wanted to do before the midterms. Pelosi opened the door to this when she ignored the Republican House leadership's choices for the January 6th Committee and forced her own selected members instead.

McCarthy offered five members. Pelosi rejected 2 of them and asked McCarthy for alternatives. McCarthy retaliated by withdrawing all five choices.

What was Pelosi supposed to do at that point?

She should have kept with precedent and accepted all five McCarthy proposed, that's what. But she chose to break the precedent for a momentary advantage on the January 6th Committee. Now that the tables are turned she and the Democrats are reaping what they sowed.

McCarthy should have kept with precedent and proposed competent, impartial Representatives.

I see you are keeping with the Democrat precedent of being inconsistent. "Republicans are petty but the Democrats weren't." The fragrance of cognitive dissonance and duplicity, the very flower of Democrat precedence.

She said no to the far right nutcases, Jordan and MTG. MTG was kicked off committees because she is crazy and dissruptive. Jordan has shown himself in herings as going off on the wall tangents that are irrelevant to the purpose.

Also in the news is how if McCarthy wants the leadership he will have to pander to these nutcases. Matt Gaetz has so no way he's voting for McCarthy. It's good news for democracy that these far right nutcases are as crazy as they are and will disrupt the republicans and not democracy. We will see in January what happens in the leadership vote. McCarthy would be smart to work with democracts instead of the far right crazies. But he doesn't seem to be very smart, so we will see what happens. These republicans are surely entertaining as theater. Will this turn off more voters in 2024? If conservtive voters nominate Trump again I expect a disaster for republicans.

So, you're the one making the rules here?

BTW, I do "believe in scripture" but I don't believe everything I read. The Gospel was canonized three centuries after Jesus's death; thus, it was very much a part of the tradition that got passed on. By us having the canon, it was and is very much is a part of Christian tradition.
