Any neurologists able to answer below?!?!

Long story short: if been dealing with what I believe to be an evil spirit, evil entity, or whatever you want to call it for 2 years. It follows me everywhere, I feel it on me 24/7. No one around me or near me can feel what I feel or see what I see but several times a friends dogs have guarded me from something only they could see but that I could sense.
Because I haven’t been able to ever get an expert to see me in person with some equipment to confirm anything, now I am trying to get a neurological exam since I saw there’s some neurological disorders that could cause some of these symptoms that feel like real attacks from an evil presence.

if you’re a neurological doctor or if you can ask anyone for me, is there a ton of disorders that can cause what I’ve been dealing with or is it only a few specific disorders? Could my disorder be confirmed and named just from 1 or more specific tests, CT scan, MRI or do I need to ask for a specific type of exam, MRI, scan, etc?

I believe that there is a scientifically well regarded neurological condition that manifests similarly to what you're describing. This condition is felt to account for a lot of what people have - down through the centuries - called visitations.

@Brickjectivity - just saw your post. I hope that my answer doesn't break any RF rules, it seems to be more in the "general knowledge" category than actual medical advice?

@Daydreamer87 , I am not a medical professional of any sort. However, I do happen to know there are medical conditions that could or might account for your feelings about evil spirits. A good psychiatrist could most likely reliably sort this out for you. I would urge you to get in touch with one. If you have a doctor, you might want to ask them to refer you to a psychiatrist.

By the way, depending on the disorder, you might not need to undergo MRI or other machine-based testing in order to discover whether or not you have a disorder.

I am a clinician and I do deal with psychiatric patients but you cannot get a diagnosis online. Like most would say you need to consult a physician for one if you have a personal general doctor you go to. If not, you can search for one in your area. Seeing a general doctor is beneficial because you can get tested and get referrals to see specialists.

Other than that a physician would ask you basic things like “do you do drugs?” Do you or someone in your family have a history of mental illness? Because the idea is to rule out these things or potential factors that can contribute to your issue.

Now I advise unless you are dealing with homicidal or suicidal ideation do not go to the emergency room to see a doctor. But if you honestly feel like these visions or things you’re experiencing will lead to self harm or homicidal tendencies then yes go to the emergency room, other than that see your primary care doctor.

I would actually go see a neurologist for that kind of inquiry.
