You don't trust God and Jesus Christ and the Bible anymore...if you ever did. This just serves as an excuse for you and other on the forum to salve your conscience that you are right in your unbelief.

Did you ever think that because this person is a Christian, that is why he got caught. How many non-christians are out there that never get caught.

This man doesn't get away with it. God saw to that. What makes you think your excuses will get away with it?

As to your question, how to keep predators from being Pastors, I have plenty of answers. But then you, and people like you would **** and moan about your 'right's being taken away. And who does these 'church people' think they are.?

The bottom line is no one is going to get away with anything. Including you.

Yes, allow them to actually have premarital, and marital sex. Boom, problem solved, because you have a lot less sexually repressed people running the show, with a large amount of manipulative power. Now, this doesn't solve kiddie porn, or child molestation as a whole, but I would think this is a fairly effective way to help combat the issue.

SHouldnt the Baptist church have to check the background and find out of there are any prior arrests before someone is hired?

The story said there was a background check that was clear. And he's not charged with anything beyond possession at least not yet which is of course bad enough.

All power was seized from the churches back in the late 1800's

Trust yourself, look into your heart and look for the Good from Christ no matter where it shines.

This is a great day, there is much happening that is fulfilling all what is promised in the "Day of God". Just remember a Biblical day can be a thousand years. Change does not happen overnight, individual change requires great efforts and conflict of soul, we live in a world of souls in a time when great change is needed.

Embrace and Love, do the best things we can.

It might help a little, but Jehovah’s Witness seem to have abuse problems as well and they have marital sex allowed.

I think it is a position of power issue.

A very good question. Deep background checks-- including information from their high schools, could very likely expose these monsters long before they get in positions of power.

But that cost **money** -- and we can't have that! Pastor could not afford a new Cadillac every year, if they did deep backgrounds on all the "ministers".

Besides-- just pray over the guy, and Jesus will Make It All Better, right?

Because it's all about the Free Will of the pedopastor, and never about the Free Will of the victim.

After all-- the bible clearly puts women as property, and second-class-- hardly worth worrying about.

God--the all-powerful, omni-benevolent creator of all--will only stop child molesters if they are Christian?

God will deal with His own. They will not get away with it. As for the world's children, they are left to your bleeding hearts to turn loose and prey on others.

Which is why it's such prime territory.

Religion is the only venue where people can get away with this kind of stuff. They know they are literally untouchable aside from being caught red handed with their pants down.

I think it's time for some sting operations to commence.

I don't believe in God, and have absolutely nothing on my conscience as a result. You probably don't believe me... as if it matters. It is none but the truth. I don't waste my time worrying about hypotheses for which those hypothesizing can't provide even a single shred of compelling, real-world evidence. What do you take me for? An idiot?

If your "answers" include The Bible (even tangentially) then yes, please spare us. Your advice would have to be stricken from the record as worthless. Once you have evidenced, real-world, rational arguments and methods, then you might have a leg to stand on in front of the public at large to propose something. Outside of that, you have nothing.

I'd be willing to bet you think this sounds bad-a$$ and intimidating, a real 1-2 punch for "The Lord." You're wrong, you know. It's terribly pathetic. Worth not much more than an eye-roll and a head-shake. On second thought... too much energy wasted in even that. Oops... how long have I been typing? Dang... time wasted yet again.
