Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...

The subject is anti-Semitic violence from the black community, which is more prevalent than the same from Caucasians in New York.

Is it? Do you have a source?

  • More specificallly, IMHO, the subject is "Black-on-Hasid" violence in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. [My source: the first paragraph of the HOT AIR article in the OP.] My disclaimer: That does NOT, however, diminish the attack's illegality and immorality.

  • I also think it is appropriate to note the date of the article above: May 9, 2019
  • Furthermore, I believe it is appropriate to note the following "Times of Israel" article, dated: 13 October, 2018, which describes a "Hasid-on-black" attack that took place in ... "in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Williamsburg, which has a large ultra-Orthodox population." NY appeals court overturns Hasidic man’s conviction in assault of gay black man

  • Note: The first article is about one black person's attack on one Hasid. The second article is about five Hasidim's attack on one Black.
  • For more information, Google "The Crown Heights Riots" in August 1991 and explore Black and Jewish (or Hasidic) violence in Brooklyn.

Rabbi Eli Cohen, the executive director of the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council, has begun visiting nearby public schools with Geoffrey Davis, an African-American community leader, to try to understand what may be driving the attacks, as many of the assailants arrested by the police have been young men of color.
Anti-Semitic Attacks Fuel Continuing Rise in Hate Crimes in New York

He recalled the Crown Heights riots of 1991, when the neighborhood was thrown into turmoil for three days after a car escorting the Lubavitcher rebbe, the leader of the Chabad Jewish movement, struck two small children of Guyanese immigrants, killing one. During the rioting, a Jewish student was stabbed to death by a black assailant.

Sounds like there has been a issue in the area for a while.
