Why is it that the past must never be altered?
The future everyone comes from is always the best future?
(One exception: Terminator series)

Robots...the smarter they are, the more they
want to....

Incomplete and thus wrong. A lot of stories are about someone from the future trying to fix the past to prevent the horrible future from happening. Strange New Worlds, Episode 10 was one example

Fool! I allowed for exceptions.
It is nonetheless a common recurring theme that
altering the future is always bad, eg, Star Trek,
Family Guy.

Aliens (that humans visit) being super advanced or hostile. Why can't they be a bunch of peaceful farmers and writers using primitive tools rather than voice commands, holograms, etc.?

Anything Zombie or Vampire.

And of course alien invasion and humans are always the weakest thing going

reptile aliens who disguise their appearance by stuffing themselves into human-looking skins so they don't scare us easily scared humans...

but we somehow manage to defeat the invaders anyway...

Yup, they have death rays and force fields and all sorts of tech, can stand up to a Nuclear bomb, but hit them in the right place and they go up like the Death Star in a Star Wars Movie

War of the worlds, the book, made sense, in a way, we survived, but not by anything we did, they just did not have immunity to our germs...and they DIED!!!!

An extremely advanced civilization with no knowledge of medicine? How likely is that?

Well, a new virus, unknown to them, when they have no immunity...can rip through a population pretty quickly, Possibly before they have time to figure out what hit them. However that does not rule out the possibility that back at their home the scientist figure it out, come up with a vaccine and they return

I mean medically we're pretty advanced and look how long it took to come up with a vaccine for the corona virus

Blade Runner, the Truman Show, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, the Matrix, Planet of the Apes, Gattaca, Escape from New York, Robocop, Hunger Ganes, A Clockwork Orange, and Total Recall are my favorite Dystopian society themed sci-fi films.
