An Unfortunate Assembly

Morse

To Extinguish
As much as it pains me...

Stargazer

Secreted away in a shadowed
Planet, it finds itself reawakening,
As it’s painted in vibrant shades
By ever solemn souls
And laid bare,
By her ever solemn hands.
As unfathomably earthed beneath iron glass
As it is, an abject memory offered to her,
Accompanied with crimson pulsations; throbbing
For an audience with the contemplations of
Its conception.

Now, she breathes life back into these dying stars
So threads of emotion thrum behind them,
Like so many chords in a sickly cantata
Reverberating through its catatonic
Wires.

Her eyes that entreat nothing of life;
Requiring nothing of me, the mute.
But still glittering silver, reflecting
My inquiries about when Eternity
Will eventually end, how we will
Break like obsidian shatters when struck,
And be buried together in a world
Of silhouetted sleep.

I still really like this line "Now she breathes life back into these dying stars/ So threads of emotion drum behind them"

And this line as well: "My inquires about when Eternity/ Will eventually end, and how we will/ Break like obsidian shatters when struck"

I really can't explain why. They are just very thought-provoking and deep lines =D

Don't feed my ego.

EDIT: To below comment: You've already told me you liked burning your retinas reading my poem, I don't see a need to say so again. And I do love my ego as I love myself, which is to say, not at all.
