Drudge report is trash.
I prefer uncensored trash to news media who like to hide things from us.
You can keep your MSNBC blinders....I'll take the chaotic & libertine internet.
We've made much progress since the days of news being dominated by a
few big players who decided what we're allowed to see.

I'm interested in journalism, not sensational conspiracy theories pushed by the far-right.

It's the 20th anniversary of The Drudge Report's airing of the Lewinsky-Clinton affair.
Other sources kept it quiet, but the internet was about to change everything.

BBC News | Clinton Scandal | Scandalous scoop breaks online

The internet delivers a lot of garbage, but at least it's unfiltered garbage.
Now Wikileaks & others keep the feet of the newsworthy to the fire.
Ain't life grand!

The websites considered trustworthy were identified as Fox (8.92), Drudge (7.71), and NewsMax (6.28). The others received very low ratings of less than 3.2.
Some of these ratings are embarrassingly low: MSNBC (1.57), NBC News (1.71), CBS News (1.82), and ABC News (1.92). Remember, a value of 1.0 represents a rating of absolutely zero trustworthiness.

How Trustworthy Are the Fox News, Drudge Report, and NewsMax Websites?

CNN was rated at 2.03 10 being the most trusted 1 meaning not trusted at all.

Of course these are polls, not fact checking.

It was a pivotal time for Drudge though, so they have every right to "celebrate" the anniversary. :)

Nothing new here. President Obama went on about President Bush for how long.

Are you seriously comparing any comments Obama may have made about Bush's Presidency (I recall none, can you post some examples, please) with Trumps infatuation with Obama (and Clinton). It's all down to Trump trying to prove his w*lly is bigger - totally childish.

That's meaningless.

I don't trust polls for determining trustworthiness.
Note that Drudge shouldn't rate so high because it's a
news aggregator, & primarily links to the other sources.

I don't know anything about the Drudge, however I can say that conspiracy theorists have a long going technique of pointing to the times they were correct in order to try to bring validity to their other ideas.

Just because they have a right idea every so often doesn't mean reason played any part in their thought process.
The Lewinsky Clinton scandal wasn't initially a conspiracy theory.
It was reporting of information which was well known in the industry.
Even the appearance of agreement to keep it secret from the public
looks like just the culture of the times rather than conspiracy.
Later, conspiracies arose, eg, Monica was a Republican operative
exploiting Clinton's well known predilections. (I don't buy it, btw.)
