Abused Abroad for my Political/Religious Beliefs, Legal or not?

I'm just returning back and I've been getting hit over and over with a ton of flashbacks quite disturbing ones at times such as cockroaches and other creatures which are considered to be in a realm of disgust to the North American mindset. I mean they did teach me how to conquer "Kongzi" Chinese for Confucius and I ended up completing my bachelors over there [Taiwan] but they would hold me in stress position and essentially follow the US Senate "torture papers" report. I was detained and tried against a jury of my peers and sort of forced into saying I was guilty and I got off in 3/7 and 3/4ths of a year trial for good behavior. I'm quite appalled at Taiwan especially since they have at least close to $1000+ of my appliances, material goods that they got while I got raided. I've been asking about the Geneva convention since I found out that China sided it and that has got to be something they are in trouble with especially if I invoke Huawei who is already in a bad situation. Any comments? I might have some like fighting guides on there possibly explosives but is the information really illegal? I mean it's not the book burning days.

Manuals for Martial Arts ie Krav Maga by Loompanics

and as for the guilty, I showed them multiple times that I wasn't but I guess you don't understand quite how asian culture works. They cannot be shown that they are in fact wrong. It's called "saving face" and I was told repeatedly until it was "brainwashed" into me that I did this or that and they revived Project MK-Ultra and dosed me heavily with what matches up to be BZP. An illegal move if done on an "enemy combatant", correct me if I'm wrong

You are or you are not?

"like" they are or they are not.

I think people here may be able and willing to help you, but first you must start talking sense.

OK Fine! You go to her country and try to make sense! She will learn in time, will you?

Manikios, welcome to RF.

I am not sure what your post says. Are you asking if you are allowed to post some things? I am not seeing anything in your first post that breaks the rules. If you have specific questions about what you are permitted to post then please ask that in the Site Feedback area. Your thread there can only be seen by you and the staff of RF.

Here is a copy of the rules: https://www.religiousforums.com/link-forums/forum-rules-guidelines.357/ If anything is unclear just ask, and we will try to help clarify it. Anything not in the rules is probably Ok to talk about.

You may discuss ideas about the law. "I think X should be legal" or "I went to court for a speeding ticket." "I don't like Taiwan." "President Trump touched me without my permission." "Barack Obama is from Kenya." Those are not descriptions of illegal activities you have done or intend to do and are in the political realm. You may mention public figures. Do not say anything bad about forum members or about non-public figures.

You may not post descriptions of illegal actions such as "I am going to rob a bank" or "Here is how to smuggle weed" or "I punched her in the face" or "I am going to get back at those evil people with my fists."

You may mention the names of books and information. Its ok to mention you have a book from Loompanics. If you have a book full of formulas or ideas that is ok. We do not draw a line there as long as you are not advertising and as long as you do not post content that is against site rules such as porn, how to make bombs etc.

The question is, is it legal over there? You might but just better off (less stress) to cut your losses and move on.
And from what I understand, most criminal/trial rights that exist in the West do not exist in the East and interrogations tend to be much more stressful with much more an emphasis on proving your innocence beyond 100% of a doubt.

As the American government has proved time and time again, the rules are different between an enemy combatant, who is legally defined during times of war, and those captured when the state is not officially at war. And waterboarding shows if they don't care about international law, they'll do as they please.

They got caught for doing that. Now they know that they can be called on the carpet if they do that again, and it won't stay secret. Even if the president authorizes it, the people involved know they can get into trouble long after he is gone. There are cameras, audio devices, people watching and snooping.

And? There were heavy and strong suspicions before any hard evidence was confirmed, and Bush Jr. only used "nice" wording to cover up the fact he had authorized torture and methods explicitly prohibited by international law.

...but is the information really illegal?...
I am guessing it is. Here in the USA its not illegal, but we came close to making it illegal.
This article is about gun ownership rights and shows that in Taiwan its usually illegal to own a gun.
Overview of gun laws by nation - Wikipedia

The government probably has leeway about books and information that they find.
Taiwan - Wikipedia
This shows the way ROC governance is arranged.

The following site discusses the laws of Taiwan: The Legal System of Taiwan - Columbus School of Law

It says that Taiwan is governed by statutes, not by legal precedents. It sounds (to me) like everything depends upon what the written codes say, and they will be interpreted each time they are consulted.

Here is a legal site: https://www.judicial.gov.tw/index.asp Its in Taiwanese and English. It contains a law library.

Confucius say: the world is a really big place, and is often very unfair. If you try to do battle with it, you will almost certainly lose.

Terrorists are not protected by the Geneva Convention.
That would make it popular to declare people as "terrorists".
Anyway, my advice to the OP is to be careful what you believe, & where you believe it.

Parenthetical aside....
Uncle Duke (from Doonesbury) once called China the "world's largest penal colony".

Declaring someone to be such gives license to treat them with more options.
Sounds attractive.

Except you can not declare anyone a terrorist as per unlawful, lawful and non-combatant categories. A soldier of a nation involved in a war (the war in question) is a legal combatant even if they massacre a civilian population. A soldier from a nation not a party of the war is an illegal combatant thus can be called a terrorist.
