A World Federal System is inevitable

A world federated state is inevitable. Furthermore it won't be a tyranny.

The federated system would be just like in the United States, with a legislature, an executive, and a judiciary. As a matter of fact the fact that the colonies became a federated system gives us encouragement now that it can be done. Also Europe moved closer to peace with the EU which started with an agreement to share coal and steel resources and moved on from there.

The nations would cede some sovereignty to this federal government, but only with those problems that have to do with world security. All nations would only have enough arms to maintain order within their country, and the federal government would have a standing army to enforce peace.

We need this now, but of course the world is not moving very fast towards this system right now. Once events show that it is necessary and there is too much suffering, they will move to this, perhaps not all at once, but in steps. The world is interconnected together and the welfare of the part is the same as the welfare of the whole. This will be one of the principles of this government when it is formed.

We can agree on these principles that we will weave into the federated government. The world has already in 2005 agreed on the principle of the responsibility to protect. This means that if a nation either can't or won't take care of their citizens, the world will step in. This includes right abuses and genocide. If we can put our mind to it, we can agree on those principles that run the federal government.

The standing army won't be a tyranny if we can agree beforehand when the standing army specifically would be used, and all of the nation's representatives come together to decide to use it. Also, the world government would only be formed if such a mechanism is in place because the nations would never agree to anything else in their own interests.

Just in the fact that nuclear bombs are spreading means that eventually nuclear bombs will be used. If a nation gives nuclear materaial to terrorists, knowledge of building a nuclear bomb is accessible. This will cause enough suffering in the world to trigger a world federation. There are other problems too, such as the economic system breaking down and global warming and other environment concerns.

So you are for One World Government?

That would be cool if there was good leadership and all the countries were allied with each other and getting along.

Doubtful. I don't think a world federated state will be possible without tyranny. People who already have power don't want to give it up. People who don't have it, want it. Tyranny, IMO, is inevitable in any form of government. The only temporary relief possible is when one power group/structure is torn down by revolution just to be replaced by another.

Not everyone is going to want to be ruled by a world federated state. So what do you intend to do with those folks who won't accept such rule?

I don't even like the federal government of USA much less a world wide one.

Who would decide the laws? Would people in China decide what I get to do and not do? After all China has a much greater population than the USA.

Democracy is extremely flawed because people are easily manipulated and led astray.

There's more than enough dictatorship of the bourgeoisie without a singular government ruling over all.
Still, it's an idea worth considering.
There are just too many kinks to be worked out for it to ever work.

Technology is still rapidly changing. Until this change reaches a plateau there will not be enough stability, and it is too early for tech to stop changing. There are new technologies still needed, especially ones that help the environment. What we have now is still too toxic to continue as is. We need the ability to grow electrical components on plants and to grow houses and lights etc. This will allow us to replace the toxic electronics and the toxic construction methods, growing things that currently must be constructed.

Lol, Just get China or Russia to agree to that, much less than the United States Canada and any of the other Free Nations to go with something like that.

Isn’t it interesting that the Enterprise of Star Trek, whenever they visit an inhabited planet, there are only two or three cultures / governments of people on the entire planet?

A lot easier to deal with! (So unlike the 200+ on this planet.)

Yes, a world government is coming.
