    So, like any emotion or thought, is internal to me, not something that exists if I go away?

    I guess I don't get it.

    That is why it is often difficult, for those who not have any god-belief,
    to discuss truth with many believers.

    Yes. Without my body, there is no consciousness.

    At least, I don't see any way there could be.

    MRI scan proves nothing. You can also imagine/think of an apple and scan your head...

    One of the best explanations concerning the word God;
    "God" is not anyone's name. There is not some person out there someplace, much older, much wiser, much more powerful than you or I whose name is "God." God is not the name of a class of which there happens to be only one member. The word "God" is a bit of shorthand, a stand-in which functions in Christian theology almost as "X" functions in algebra. When working an algebraic problem, one's concern is "X." But "X" is the stand-in for the thing one doesn't know. That is how God functions in Christian theology.

    And, just as in math, there may not be such a thing. For example, 2^x =0 has no solutions.

    You need to prove there *is* a solution. Otherwise, any further reasoning is flawed.

    It prove where in the brain the concept of god actually is

    Yes thinking of an apple would light up different areas of the brain, thanks for pointing that out

    The word god is derived from the 6th century germanic.

    God= Higher states of Consciousness

    I just wrote this a few minutes ago:
    God is that highest state of being that descended from the highest into slightly lower and even lower states to manifest the world (if 'become the world' is too drastic for this thread). So when beings here transcend at least a few of those layers, they are moving towards that state. It is all relative.

    That one who ascends is a part of the THAT which descended in the first place.

    There is a difference between being unsolved and there being no solution.

    You can also see the differences in the brain when people meditate and achieve an altered state of consciousness.

    I'd assume if higher consciousness or god experience was strictly outside human sciences doctors wouldn't have a record of what the person is experiencing and how to measure it. I think its more religious people have profound human experiences but because of their profoundness and inability to label it, they attribute it to a spiritual source(s) whether coming from them in a higher consciousness or from the outside such as a creator.

    So you believe an apple to be a figment of a persons imagination. What you taste is nothing real.

    I'm not a mathematician. But there seems to be a solution:

    x = -∞

    I never asked for any God proof. I asked if spirit were real. And did a human spirit exist after human death.

    I was proven my answer.

    Sorry. I should have used a question mark. It was a logical conclusion from your previous post, where you said you believe God is a figment of a persons imagination.

    You have to understand that "The Word of God" means different things to different people. For some it means the Quran. For others, the Vedas. For us Jews, it means the Tanakh (OT) but not the New testament. Even emong Christians, there are differences of canon. Protestants only have 66 books in their canon. Catholics have 73 books in their bibles. You should see the list of books in teh Bible of the Ethiopian Church -- they can't even agree with other Chrsitians on what is in the New Testament.
