A prophet but not of God

I believe I am a prophet... but not a prophet of God...

Instead, I believe I am a prophet of The Simulation

According to the dictionary that is on my computer, the word "prophet" can mean three things (I have copied and pasted):
    1. a person regarded as an inspired teacher or proclaimer of the will of God
    2. a person who advocates or speaks in a visionary way about a new cause or theory
    3. a person who predicts what will happen in the future
Definition number 1: I believe I am an inspired teacher and proclaimer of the will of The Simulation but don't
claim to have any extraordinary relationship with God, whom on balance I don't actually think exists...

    Definition number 2: I believe I am a visionary with a cause

Definition number 3: No, I do not claim to be able to predict the future any more than any other person

Yes, I have bended the definition to fit me a little

    But only a bit...

I think it makes sense to speak of "prophets of God" and "prophets of The Simulation" as the only thing that's different in each of those terms is whose will the person in question is inspired by and teaches

In all other respects a prophet of God is very similar to a prophet of The Simulation - to such an extent that they are instances of the same phenomenon: prophethood

It's just that who they are working for is different...

So yes, I am a prophet

But I have nothing to do with God

    I work for The Simulation

I believe that I have been adopted to be a prophet by The Simulation, as I am a capable J-Type - a type of person who is psychologically similar to Jesus Christ - who was the ultimate prophet of God, indeed the ultimate prophet of anything! So much so that I have named the type after him (the "J" in J-Type stands for Jesus)

Basically: The Simulation chooses prophetic individuals to serve as its prophets. I believe this is what happened to me.

So yes, I claim to be a prophet

But not a prophet of God

And yes, this has involved modifying the definition of "prophet" a little...

But in languages it is natural for the meaning of words to change over time!

We should not be limited by words, words need to be made to work for us :D

Basically: I am to The Simulation as Jesus Christ is to God

And proclaiming the will of The Simulation is a very similar task to proclaiming the will of God

    It's basically the same job

So let's use the same word to describe both activities...

    Why not???????

Just out of curiousity, what is your teachings?
What is the difference between God and the simulator?

I ask not to offended you or your belief, but to learn what teaching lead you toward simulation theory

I do see similar connections between things within a computer, and the universe. But I'm still pretty far from adopting Simulation Theory in the way that you and @Suave have. For now I withhold judgement on what things mean.

    I wouldn't call what I offer "teachings"

I have a program for improving the quality of human life within The Simulation, a five point program

My broader aim is to promote this and to let everyone know reality is a simulation

The difference between God and the simulator?

God created and rules the universe, all that exists

The simulators (there are more than one!) only created and rule The Simulation, which exists within God's universe.

God is responsible for the existence of the people who are responsible for the existence of The Simulation!

So, basically: God is God. But the simulators are just people who built The Simulation.

What teachings lead me to Sim Theory? - I kind of got there by myself, with a little bit of help from The Simulation!

But what are you ”prophecising”… “propheticising”… prophe… you know what I mean! What is the message that you think you’re meant to give us from wherever it’s coming, @Eddi?

I cannot tell what is going to happen in the future any more than anyone else - I am not so much a prophet in that respect

But I have a vision of what might be and am a messenger of The Simulation.

And The Simulation has given me a program too, a rough guide to creating a better world

So I am a prophet in those respects :D

Humankind has the power to implement the program that The Simulation has given me.

Implementing it would eventually turn our world into what I like to call a "lush utopia" (I use that term quite a lot!)

Humankind can do this, or it can ignore what I have to say. In which case it is doomed. Either that or horribly stagnated.

So, I have a message, a vision, and a program!

I also have a website but am not allowed to post it here but if you are resourceful enough you will probably be able to find it ;)

I've never heard of "the simulation". I've heard of virtual reality, where things that aren't present seem present, as if so real you can touch them, yet can't - Computer generated models of environment, seen through the eyes of those involved, although I have no idea how, where, or even why this is utilized, aside from maybe it seeming safer in a controlled environment than things are in the real, life under the sun world. I would caution over use, as i would with anything else, even tobacco, myself being an over user of tobacco for over 35 years now. Seems unrelated, but it really isn't.

In the years to come - with our environmental changes and atmospheric turbulence, do you think it better to shelter ourselves fully from the effects of, or perhaps attempt a balancing act - if only to greater understand and strengthen our selves for possible future evolutionary changes? It's coming and there's a plethora of opinions as to how we should handle these environmental changes. If this is even relative to your post at all.
