A new type of gun regulation

I doubt it will pass but what does everyone think of the McDaniel Militia act?

This house bill, requires that every Missouri resident between ages 18-35 own or possess an AR-15 type rifle.
Who is paying for these guns? I have not read this bill yet. I assume that it includes language about how these are to be paid for.

I see this making a few headlines, but do not see it passing.

Since you said please.... ;O)

Kennesaw, Georgia

Nelson, Georgia

Nucla, Colorado

Gun Barrel City, Texas

Virgin, Utah

Of course mind you, that in the case of Gun Barrel City Texas, it kind of speaks for itself. *Grin*
Kennesaw is probably the most well known. I can guess why they need guns in Virgin, Utah. Gun Barrel City. Yeah. That is a given. Not sure about the other places. I had not heard of those.

I wonder if they could pass a similar law for other big ticket manufactured goods? Consider a law mandating every adult must own a hovercraft. Hovercraft sales would skyrocket.

But I don’t think the hovercraft lobby has that much power.
My hovercraft is full of eels.

Big ticket manufacturer...
An AR15 sells for $500.
They are made by many different companies.
For those of us in Missouri, $500 is a big ticket item. Probably have to get that on layaway at the Walmart store too.

Nah.
That wouldn't involve trickery.
Anti-gunners expect lunacy from pro-gunners, & when one
of the latter offers it up, the former is ready to pounce.

Pretending to push ludicrous legislation instead of the usual doing it for real isn't much of a "trick", though? Not sure what sort of point was supposed to have been made.
