Many followers of islam believe that Muhammad was the last prophet. Unfortunately they must not have read the book of joel or acts. Both books claim that on the day of the Lord's coming, basically the day of resurrection, the Lord will pour out it's Spirit on all and they will prophecy. Both males and females.

Did muhammad lie? Did he not bother to read either the tanakh or the new testament? Did his followers misunderstand?

    What gives?

There is something telling about christian fundamentalists too in the idea of women as prophets. Obviously there were female prophets and nazarites in the tanakh.

IMO: (meaning I can be wrong of course)
I know that men oppressed women a lot, so obviously Scriptures are not pure. You can only receive God's word pure if you are pure yourself. Not saying the scriptures have no value though; but they don't have the purest knowledge. Probably sufficient for that time. Hence I believe that God will send new messengers or Avatars if we, as humanity, need new lessons (have learned the old lessons, or worse forgotten even the old lessons), or any other reason only God knows.

To claim that Muhammad is the final Prophet is not smart, as God does not let himself pin down usually.

    So do Bahais.
    Christians beliefs aren't that different.
    Etc.

Abrahamic religion is plagued by the concept of God's Chosen People, led by God's Chosen Prophet.

Lots of people, including non-Muslims, have also read them and drawn the conclusion that they aren't accurate, much less inspired by God.

This isn't a Muslim problem. Is a problem Christians have with the credibility of their Scripture, and their interpretations of Jewish Scripture.

Muhammad (pbuh) was not a Jew or Christian so why would he be reading those scriptures when he had perfect connection with Allah? Who gave him the teaching we see in the Quran?

because I don't believe God is a respecter of persons. Allah is greater than a prophet. And the name is greater than a religion. All were born naked and naked beneath the facade of a religion all will perish.

allahu akbar says it all. Islam is not equal to God and muhammad even less so. If muhammad had bother to have read up on the tanakh and/or some of the writings of jesus' disciples, I don't think he'd made such a claim of being any last prophet. It's my understanding that moslems believe Jesus will return. Jesus then would still be the last prophet appearing.

Christians made claims about Jewish prophets.
Baha'i makes claims about all three, and a bunch of later Abrahamic religionists like LDS.

It just goes on and on. Religious folks insisting that they're the ones who understand God.

We non-theists generally try to keep quiet.

But, sometimes, we just have to point out the irrationality of it all. Claiming to know important things about God. While disagreeing violently amongst yourselves. Violently.

The human male his story is about why his holy highest human being male bio life body got attacked and sacrificed. Which involves breaking of the laws of God the stone covenant. The stone fusion, fused, in all nations.

So some brothers quote, my nation was worst life sacrificed in their Holy Land DNA losses, removal in sacrifice than other land owner/brothers. Seeing you claim I own the land I live on. Fusion as mass on Earth physically is a variable everywhere O on the one Earth body.

Males are discussing the male sciences actually with the claim I am of more knowledge than any female human. With the knowledge as I invented all worded/described terms for the statements of male sciences, human.

And quote God O the planet / stone or One or Allah told him the information by his human science/philosophical studies.

If you write a stated law that only religious meditative prayer was allowed during the period of human awareness that the Earth released massive underground radiation releases due to Temple/pyramid ownership science. Then they did.

The teaching/advice, realisation owned by the males directly living in those time periods. Any human as a human knows that a human observer only lives for the life span of 100 years. And is not any super deity...although a scientist might believe in their knowledge of the sciences to be superior to anyone else. As a human observation about their own persons. For it is real.

Therefore when science in the ancient times agreed in the male communities to the ancient Moses pyramid to Jesus or Mohammad life sacrifice/attack by the One O Earth God fusion/fission alchemical product changes, then they did. And they agreed that life sacrifice would end right there and that no future life sacrifices would be allowed.

For it is written when it was experienced and agreements were agreed in natural life history.

The Earth however is a natural O planet, and what it releases is not controlled by any human.

Therefore human philosophical cosmological science studies, still conclusive to the ages expressed the male science reasons for why life kept being ground attacked/sacrificed and harmed. Concluded that the ancient science males were wrong in their thesis and hence have argued about it ever since.

For all the science/creation One planet O thesis are science involved/inferred male owned teachings to self. As humans. Which everyone seems to overlook.

Yes supernatural or phenomena is always involved in the sciences, as science is an artificial male choice in his natural life. So what is unnatural is the manifested witnessing of changes to the Earth body O as mass. For it is not fusion/fission/alchemical bodily changing itself. Scientists are, as a male group O world community choice.

Hence if males in modern day life chemical brain changed by the radiation effects they would begin to hear the past life recordings of their own ancient male brothers...as a fact that the atmospheric body owns its own recorded human memories by its natural conditions....to record and transmit human image and voice.

vanity seems to be a recurring human issue. true but i can only deal with one problem at a time. in this thread its a moslem issue with prophets.

true but islam is the 2nd largest religion in the world. i like taking on the giants. if it works the small fry will follow suit. idolatry to a religion is still idolatry

and yet you've opened up. i like that. sometimes it takes someone without a dog in the fight to help see the problem objectively.

i don't disagree with you're analysis in part.

also, unlike many monotheists, i'm a monist. i don't believe in this thing called god and separate from self. so then it is something that is intrinsic to the human condition and also prophetic

In our view, Muhammad did not say, He is the final prophet or Messenger forever. This is just the understanding of Muslims. So, no, in fact Muhammad said, there will come Mahdi after Himself, to bring a new revelation, to replace the Quranic laws with a new Book. He also, said, God's Books, will never end.

By the way, Bahais don't believe their Religion is the final revelation. In the future, there will come other Messengers, with new revelations from God and will replace the Bahai Laws, with another new Law.

But they do believe that theirs is the prophet and religion for another 800 years or so.
At least that's what Bahais have told me.

Frankly, while I consider their Messengers quite sophisticated for the 19th century, they've been surpassed already in terms of moral and theological sophistication. The human world is changing a lot faster than they(or God) realized it would.

For all Bahai folks know, God may have already sent a new Messenger for the 21st century. But your Messenger made a different claim so Bahais will either miss him/her, or treat them like the Bahai Messenger was treated.
