Nope....got all the help I need [IMG] .....having a light at the end of the tunnel, (that isn't a train driven by some politician) is comforting actually. And having promises made by someone who is incorruptible is also very reassuring. :) We just need patience.

I also think a frustrating life would be to never allow yourself to live a good life. A lot of our troubles come from our own minds. We talk ourselves out of happiness, sometimes. I have done this, too. And that is frustrating, when you know you are holding yourself back. I have since stopped acting like that, and life has been so much better!

No, I meant we are not waiting for Jesus. :D

We are not waiting for facts and evidence either since we have enough to sink a ship.
The only thing we cannot prove is that God spoke to Baha'ullah, but we have plenty of evidence that indicates God did so. :) That is all anyone can have for their religion, evidence, since nobody can ever prove that God spoke to anyone, since nobody can ever prove God even exists...

I have the opposite problem... I have too much money and nothing I desire.
I do not even want to retire even though I could... go figure.

I did, and I didn't at first, but yes - it is all about our choices - that's the bit you're missing at present I think!

Not for me, because i do not even want proof that God exists... that would spoil all the Mystery behind God and all the fun I have talking about God and whether God exists or not.

Besides, I know God exists without proof... :D

I do. That is because there is a kind of knowing you do not know about.

    Glad to hear that!

Sounds like you may have found the secret of life - or at least the secret of your own life.

    :)

Yeah, every once in a while, Jehovah will let His organization go through a sifting, as Jesus did @ John 6, to clean out those serving with wrong motives.... It works, apparently.

That right there is a profound comment! Seriously. We don't need to find the secrets to life...but instead, of our own lives.:)

Apparently! Its so successful that it is repeated over and over again. That must be frustrating!

On the contrary......it is reassuring. :D

The parable of the dragnet comes to mind. (Matthew 13:47-50)

As an example of how God "sifts" his people - or another example of how the WT oscillates and waffles in its interpretations of Biblical symbolism?

You know its about the unsuitable fish and what becomes of them.

As for the 'oscillating and waffles'......? That is a matter of opinion.....I see men of faith trying their best in their imperfection to guide a very large flock to the right pasture ground and away from contaminated water sources......none of the misunderstandings led us anywhere bad.....all the faithful are still in the 'vessels'...together, patiently getting on with the job assigned to them, for however long it takes. Who else is doing that?

You are entitled to your opinion, as I am to mine...let's await the outcome, shall we?
Let's see who is feeding in the right pasture ground. [IMG]
