You would do better stating your position and the rationale for it. I'll keep Stockholm on ice.

You would do better to be a little less faux-superior and a little more respectful.

Every criticism you aim at me is but a reflection of your own inadequacies. Now, state your case and let's examine it. You keep ducking this matter. Time to put up.

No, every criticism I aim at you is a critique of the unreasonable attitude you have displayed throughout this thread, by intimating that I’m “inadequate.” I don’t believe, based on your posts, that you’re at all interested in “my case”in any capacity other than to abuse it as fodder for your rants against faith, religion and human spiritual endeavors.

You made this whole subject adversarial by assuming that we have everything to prove (according to standards you set). You have dismissed intuition and creative thinking. You have dismissed faith as worthless. Yet, you’ve failed to meet the standards you demand of us by failing to provide any evidence that your position should be the default position against which any differing opinion should be weighed.

I’m not ducking; I’m safeguarding. This stuff is highly personal, and I’m not entrusting it to you, based on the attitude you’re displaying here. Perhaps — perhaps — when you’ve adequately defended your stance (that of empiricism being the only responsible use of human intelligence — and I doubt you can), then I might share some of my position, which you have completely misapprehended.

Time to state your case succinctly. I’m perfectly willing to admit that I may have misunderstood something you’ve said. But I’ve had no indication from you of the same willingness to admit you may be mistaken. That’s as much of an olive branch as I’m willing to offer until I sense a better, less entitled attitude.

Safeguarding, wow! How predictable that you equivocate in this fashion. You have no case, but then a Christian Shamanic wouldn't. When called to lay it out you won't. Again you criticise me but employ the same tactics you bemoan. Beyond pusillanimous and drifting into utter gutlessness now. The burden of proof remains yours. You won't put up a case because you belong to a faction that have never made a credible argument for, or delivered a proof of, your claims. You have faith, and a litany of apologetic tropes. Spare me the hurt feelings ruse, you've been cornered and you crumble. No proof, no case. Run along on your mystic travels and let the grown-ups deal with real world issues.

And this is why no one will play with you, Pee Wee. You have this pathological need to provoke. I offer an olive branch and an invitation. You regurgitate the same verbal vomit with which you’ve been embarrassing yourself all along. Throw a pseudo punch and then duck, just like a weak bully, calling names and cracking your knuckles like a big boy.

You have, yet again, managed to completely misread me. There’s a difference between safeguarding something that’s too precious a pearl to throw to the swine and running away. If you’d said “please,” like a civilized human being, I might have indulged you, and you may have come away learning something. But you’d just rather we worship the ground your knuckles drag along with your shallow, mock-intellectualism. In so doing, you’ve knackered the opportunity for intelligent exchange.

You first. Put up or shut up. Amaze us all with why empiricism alone will save us from the intellectual abyss. You Brits pride yourselves on your analytical positivism. Do your worst.

I went to Quaker meetings thinking I would hear from God better. It didn't work for me. I hear God best in a pentecostal church.
We did have a Bhuddist at Friends meeting so I am sure it can happen.

I believe reality is the One True God who is only found in the Bible and the Qu'ran. Anthropology can teach you about false gods and unreality.
