When it is acknowledged God is the Ultimate being, it can be proven that God is One with no divisions.

God has attributes that differ from one another from our perspective. But what I mean this, is God is Ultimate essence in which there is no diversity in his essence nor divisions in his attributes, that is to say his attributes refer to the same essence and he is a complete simple unity.

One reason this can be inferred by us lowly creatures, is simply, that if he had diverse attributes, different attributes would lack what is in the other. Then God would be formed of incomplete attributes. We would say God is over all perfect with incomplete attributes, but this would be equating God and putting on par with him incomplete attributes.

God is also Ultimate Life and for love to be ultimate, it must be that God is ultimate love which is ultimate power which is ultimate sight which is ultimate wisdom which is ultimate justice etc.

Now some attributes differ in God in that wrath differs from mercy, and mercy precedes God's wrath, but in reality, this is just application of God with respect to different things. There is no difference, it's the same essence but applied to different scenarios. They differ vastly from our perspective, but are in reality, manifesting the same glory and beauty.

To see diversity in his essence, would make God formed of imperfect attributes and hence God is One with no divisions in his essence. A single essence.

Of course that essence is also something that is filled with all possible glory, beauties, and greatness, and so lacks nothing.

From a human perspective, does this mean human see God from different level of understanding?
This is why nobody agree on what Gods true being is.

It depends if we hold on to God's rope or not. I believe we all will differ from God's truth as long as we don't connect to him through the proper means (Quran and Ahlulbayt (a)).

If we aren't connecting to the sky reality or heaven reality or malakut reality and looking at the lights from God chosen to guide us and empower us, we probably will make up God to our own imagination and understanding.

Therefore we are to pray that God shows us his face and makes us see the lights of Arifeen (mystic knowers of God) which is to me Ahlulbayt (a) (they are the lights chosen by God for humans to approach him by).

Imam Sajjad (a) says "the guided are only guided by the light of your face...", of course, the Imam (a) won't intercede unless God permits so we are to pray to God foremost that he allows Imam (a) to show his light clearly.

It's important to recognize God's Name, face, and sword which is connected to all things and the seat of light of God's holy spirit which is a chosen human, encompasses all things.

We are bound to err if we make up God per our own understanding.

Most people choose some features from the light but mix with it falsehood and even the features of light they choose, they don't apply properly. They begin to make up God per their desires rather than accept those who are his light and who we are to approach him by.

This is why God condemns those who separate between God and his Messengers in Surah Nisa.

There is a path leading to God in each time, and there is many ways diverting us from that path and traps at each level and stage. God is to be taken refuge in through his name, and prayers are weapons of believers.

Most Sunni scholars (of the past not sure now) believe God has diverse attributes and Salafis even worse, believe he has parts and limbs like hands, feet, face, eyes, etc.

I like to envision God as a dragon of light surrounded by darkness, with many paths of light leading to Him, like rivers of galaxies in a universe.
