I have no idea how I got that result since I put "strongly agree" on the questions about maintaining tradition and instilling religious values. I guess that's just the most radical result the test makers could think of.

By "values" it wasn't referring to morals or virtures.
The 8 values it refers to are equality, markets, nation, world, liberty, authority, tradition, and progress. What you scored on these is how they determined the matching political ideology.
