$85,210

A recent estimate for the individual portion of the national debt of the U.S. is $85,210 for every person. Pay up, deadbeats.
So?

The actual only real problem is the interest on the loans, which indeed has gone up ever since the New Deal, and yet we still are the most prosperous country in the world.

BTW, what about all those who voted for Trump but remained silent when he and the Pubs jacked up the debt for nothing other than purely political reasons, and now they're whining?

There has not been any significant U. S. Inflation over the last 40 years. Near record low interest rates indicate there are plenty of debt lender dollars available to fund the current level of public debt.
