What methods do you prefer to use to talk with your Gods?

I don't believe in God's but I do talk to the universe.

I don't think it's meditation, but I do sit and observe...

I guess it depends on which God...

If its a God I don't know well, I'm generally more formal. I might do a puja or other ritual, or leave an offering somewhere. Perhaps chant a mantra or hear a song.

If its a God I'm well familiar with, I'm less formal. I may address them openly, or see something that directly reminds me of them. Its easier to feel their presence, and 'communication' seems easier, though I may still engage in formal worship at times.

Is this communication in both ways? Is it really talking with or just talking to?
