"31% of White Evangelicals Say They’ll Support Trump No Matter What He Does"

So you would automatically presume that if Trump were to have raped someone, his victim(s) must've been sexually promiscuous gold diggers and thus deserved it?

You're a piece of ****.

Your ad hominem attack against me means you can't reasonably disagree with the fact that Trump's "rape victims" were indeed looking to strike gold from real estate mogul Trump. ...;)

'Abortion' Must it be repeated like a broken record? Pro Life is the absolute foundation of the Republican stronghold. Secondly it is the Tea Party, but its the Tea Party people probably who can be swayed. Also this survey data doesn't take into account the recent transactions with Turkey.

I was talking about hypothetical rape victims the same way you were talking about hypothetical shooting victims.
The bottom line is that you've this mentality that Trump is incapable of any wrong-doing and that anything he does would always be someone else's fault.

He's got you on your knees, boy.

While 75% of white evangelicals approve of Trump’s performance in office, 31% of them say there’s literally nothing he could do to lose their support. He really could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue without it making a difference to his base."

Any stats on the % of the most partisan Dems who would vote for their candidate no matter what they do?

Would be a useful comparison.

Some Churches run hospitals, food pantries, schools, orphanages, or homeless shelters. I'd strongly disagree with imposing taxes upon such great charitable organizations.

Yes, but they also proselytize before giving help, and can and do discriminate against "sinners."

Something that goes right to the heart of the White Evangelical mindset.

"The researchers at the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) just released their 2019 American Values Survey, and there’s one graph in particular that says so much about the state of religion in this country. It concerns how various religious groups see Donald Trump: Do they like him? And could he do anything to change their minds?

It’s not surprising that white evangelicals overwhelmingly support him. They don’t care about — or are willing to overlook — his affairs, scandals, inhumanity, ignorance, racism, and blatant pandering. It’s also not a shock that non-religious people and Black Protestants mostly disapprove of him.

But look at the far ends of the bars. They represent whether those groups are open to changing their minds.

In the 80s, Reagan essentially made a pact with the religious groups. In particular, Jerry Falwell and his "Moral Majority". Prior to this you didn't see the "religious right".

Since that day, the religious right has slowly started to care more about the Republican Party and far right ideas more than their Christianity. Trump is the end result

Don't be confused about why White Evangelicals overwhelmingly continue to support Trump.
It's the White Supremacy.
(And a whole bunch of other -isms.)
Trump is against all the groups that make them scared.

I'm confident if Donald J .Trump were to shoot anybody, it'd likely be somebody who totally deserved it.

Probably about 50% of the population deserve it.
But he’s unlikely to shoot them.

It's about time they learned to use the Democratic party's play-book. They finally figured out that power is more important than ethics.
