2015 Ahmadiyya 31 Resolutions: Based on 10 Conditions of Bai'at (Pledge) : Anyone can draw benefits.

DawudTalut

Peace be upon you.
Peace be on you….May the new year is blessed for all of you. The benefit of saying good wishes for new year to each other will be achieved if we make self checks how much we paid our responsibility of being Ahmadi in the last year, and how much effort we shall make in this regard now – Said Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah (may Allah be his Helper)….From this Friday (January 2, 2015) we should resolve we shall be focused and do hard work to get our assigned goals which we shall get by doing virtuous deeds. Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) has mentioned these virtues.

Now every year, through new technology, each Ahmadi makes promise at the hand of Khalifah of the time that he will try his best to achieve the 30+ standards mentioned by Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) in 10-Conditions of Bai'at. These ought to be kept in view in order to celebrate the new year in true sense.

It is not sufficient for an Ahmadi that he believes Jesus (a.s.) has indeed died and Promised Messiah (a.s.) has come. Indeed it is the first step but Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) expects from us that we should deeply understand the virtues and do them and save ourselves from evils as one saves oneself from blood seeker beast. It will reform us and enable us to change the world to good and bring them near God the Exalted. Therefore purpose of our Bai'at should continue to come before us. In this regard, Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah (a.t.) explained various aspects of following points of the Conditions of Bai'at in the light of sayings of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) and his ardent devotee Promised Messiah (a.s.) with respect to current era. Only hints are mentioned here:

1) Avoid Shirk (making partners with Allah)....Believer of God does not worship overt idols. One has to be careful to avoid hidden idols sitting in hearts.

2) Avoid Falsehood…..It is high moral if life, wealth and honour is in danger even then speak truth..Those who seek asylum must not state falsehood.. Same for benefit gainers.

3) Keep Away from Fornication…..Apart from obvious evil, some people are falling prey to TV, Internet and their eyes and thoughts are corrupted. Some marriages break down due to these things.

4) Stay Away from Trespassing of the Eyes…Men and women should lower the eyes and do not stare.

5) Stay Away from All Manner of Wickedness and Debauchery….It is dangerous than disbelieve and attracts divine chastisement.

6) Stay Away from Cruelty…Avoid usurping rights there will be severe punishment.

7) Stay Away from Dishonesty / Breach of Trust…One is asked, even do not behave like this to whom who have done dishonesty to one.

8) Stay Away from Mischief and Disorder….Do not answer evil with evil. Pray for oppressor.

9) Keep Away from Rebellion…..Do not rebel against even a junior office holder of Jama'at and against government. Obey government in everything except intrusion in faith.

10) Not to Get carried Away by Passions….Avoid all such opportunities which raises low self desire, especially from TV.

11) Offer Five Daily Salaat / Prayer…Salaat becomes obligatory at age 10. Parents should show model. Men should pay 5 Prayers in mosque.

12) Offer Tahajjud Salaat…..Arrange it. Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) said our Jama'at must offer it. If one cannot offer at length, he may offer 2 Rakaat, it is opportunity for prayer.

13) Invoke Salutation and Blessings (Durud) on Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him)….Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) said who invokes salutation on me, Allah will grant 10 blessings to him….Hazrat Umer (r.a.) said prayer stays between heaven and earth if Durud on Holy Prophet is not said.

14) Be Regular in Istighfar (seek divine cover, forgiveness and help)…. Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) said one who continues to say Istighfar, he is shown way out of adversity and into prosperity and he gets sustenance from ways beyond his imagination….. Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) said some people do not know sin, thus continue to say Istighfar. [e.g: astaghfer ullah rabbi min kulley zumbin wa atubo alaihey : I seek forgiveness/cover/help from Allah who is my Lord, from all my sins/short comings and I return to Him]

15) Always Remember Bounties of God ……The greatest bounty in this era is that Allah has connected us with Imam of age. This remembrance will help to make pure connection with him.

16) Continue to Praise God….. Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) said each important work started without praising Allah remains unblessed…One who does not thankful for small does not thank for big…..One who is not thankful to people does not thank Allah too.

Praise Allah such that rights of people are paid.

17) Not to Cause Harm to God’s Creature.

18) Not to Cause Harm to Muslims especially. Overlook to full. But if there is some very important complaint for correction, do not take law in hands, send complaint to proper governmental authorities.

19) Remain Faithful to God under All Circumstances.

20) Not to Follow Un-Islamic Customs…..Avoid these matters in marriage ceremonies especially.

21) Refrain from Lustful Inclination.

22) Completely Submit to the Authority of Holy Quran……Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) said the one who disobeys one directive of 700 directives of Quran, he closes door of his salvation.

23) Make Every Word of God and Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) Guiding Principle.

24) Entirely Give Up Pride and Arrogance.

25) Adopt Humbleness.

26) Always Remain Cheerful.

27) Spend Life in Forbearance and Meekness.

28) Hold Faith and its Honour and Cause of Islam Dearer than Own Life, Property and Honour.

29) Be of Service to God’s Creature for His Sake……Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) said: Remember, Allah the Exalted loves piety and wishes that His creation is cared for. Those of you who are connected to me should remember to care for every person regardless of which religion he follows and should be good to everyone without distinction because this is what the Holy Qur’an teaches.

30) To Endeavor to Benefit Humanity to the Best of God-granted Abilities and Powers.

31) For the Sake of Allah the Exalted Make a Close Connection with the Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.), in which such station of obedience is obtained which is neither present in any relationship nor in any subservient state. We have to obey all those things which he has said for our religious, knowledge-wise, spiritual, and practical progress -- or after him, these direction reaches to members of Jama'at through Ahmadiyya Khilafat, which are to establish shariah, which are in accordance with Holy Quran, and sayings and model of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.). Without it we cannot progress and maintain our unity.

Thus we have to check how much we fulfill our pledge in last year? If there were shortages how we shall complete this year.

Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) says: Only he joins our Jama'at who makes our teaching his procedure and puts it in practice according to his strength and endeavour.

May Allah the Exalted overlook and forgive our last year’s weakness and enable us in this year to make utmost efforts to mould our lives according to the expectations of Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace). Aameen

Two Narratives:

= of events of a martyr, 25, who joined Jama'at in 2007 after learning and continued to face utmost persecution and was martyred on December 26 2014.

= a passed away pious lady from Macedonia who joined Jama'at in 1996. She faced opposition. Her dead body was seized by opponents. Husband showed full patience and fortitude over the matter.
