Be there at all as anyone.

That pink Himalayan salt wouldn't sell if they
labeled as from Pakistan, which is the source.

This seems so obvious now that you said it. But I never thought of it before.

They would. People know at least some of what went into the production of their made in China crap, but they still buy it. As for pink salt, the only difference between it and regular salt is the color and people buy it anyways because of all these false beliefs about it (like it somehow being natural and organic over regular salt). It could be labeled made in Pakistan and people will still buy it. Just like IBM survived WWII despite working with the Nazis and providing the equipment that helped the Nazis round up the Jews. So did Coca Cola who was so desperate for Nazi money they invented Fanta.
People don't care about cruelty that is out of mind. These poor girls are the same as child slaves in tue Ivory Coast. People say they care, except they don't really care about these vague amd often faceless concepts in our minds.

Each year, 1,000 Pakistani girls forcibly converted to Islam

I wouldn't want to be a member of a minority in Pakistan.

Lucky Dogs! They've never been corrupted by the
principles of the Western Enlightenment, nor the
traditional Chinese wisdom in governance, nor even
by the Lakota's respect for an individual's autonomy. I
can only admire their cultural purity! The wise
emperor Ashoka would be proud!

Wait.. um... he wouldn't.

"Himalayan" has cachet.
"Pakistan" has negative cachet.

Marketed as mystical, its groovy.
Marketed as " Pakistan" with a list of the
impurities, it would not be.
I KNOW some would buy it.
YOU know how marketing works.

As for China, we all know "Chinese junk"
used to refer to a boat.
Now it means all that trash at Walmart.
"Made in China" is like a warning label.
Negative cachet.

Not much fun being a Muslim in Modi's India today, either.
Intolerance and bigotry seem to be encouraged in both countries.

You can still get a Haj grant from the government of India, last time I heard. The Muslim population in India has stayed stable since partition.

Edited ... I stand corrected, the haj subsidy has been discontinued. Haj subsidy - Wikipedia

It seems these days to be a widespread trend. Hungary. Brazil. India. Burma. The U.S. Russia. Israel. All are seeing or have recently seen notable increases in animosity towards minorities. Mostly likely would find the Malay's are still going at the local Chinese too.

Trump even had a go at legislating against muslims visiting the US, a couple of years ago (the Sally Yates business).
