I lived in Algeria .

My state called Biskra :

1- it's called the Gate of Sahara desert , because of famous natural path , adjusted by France, in period of occupation, called El Kantara Gorges

2- my state the top producer vegetables and fruits in Algeria in Home plastic

3- my state famous by top quality of Dattes in world called Daglet Nour

4- full of Oases plams

6-My state famous by companion of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) buried , called Okba Ibn Nafi

7- famous by unbelievable heat in summer may reach °50 and unbelieveble frozen in Winter .

8-resident by Romans, a historic monuments place is still buried !!

9- our people famous by generous and welcome .

10- the origin name of Biskra comes from Roman , Viscera .

I was very very wrong. The number is actually closer to 250. Not even a big town at all, about 57,000 people in less than 20 square miles (about the size as an Elder Scrolls games:D).

Nestled in a forested valley

Famous for dry stone huts (really)
Has a weekly market on Sunday morning
Has truffle markets in the summer and winter seasons
Has a water source that was used by pilgrims in the middle ages
Beautiful blue sky all summer
Two great restaurants (one Michelin rated), a bar and a minimarket
The annual fete turns the village into a 4 day party when the population increases over 1000%

Bonus. The village name is Celtic for "good valley"
